  2. What an awesome subject to do. I read the article too and really learned a lot about something that I didn't know existed. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing this with us. Jeff
  3. That's way cool. I'm always interested in the different ways that kits are marketed. You did good. I'd consider it a rather rare kit. Thanks Cobraman for sharing this one. Jeff
  4. Very, Very sorry for the passing of Gary Meadors. My Thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Sincerely. Jeff
  5. I've always liked the kit, roof and all but it is pretty deceiving when what is in the box is not what is on it. Also I have to say thank you to Robberbaron for your excellent review of this kit. I absolutely love reading and learning more about the different kits and what they are like. Junkman , The street machine version looks pretty cool. Just a thought. Thanks everyone. Jeff
  6. Nice job on the engine and console and that dash is magnificent. Wow you picked out the details on the dashboard perfect. I am no spring chicken and have only been back to the Hobby for a couple of years but looking at what your doing I have to say to myself that I "stink" compared to what I see on this page. I guess I just have to laugh at myself and keep trying to improve my skills. I apologize for rambling it's just I see how good your dash, console and engine are looking and then I look at my stuff and Well not to good. On the upside this is how I learn to be a better modeler by looking, watching and reading posts like this one. 95neon thanks for sharing this one and if you can please keep us posted on this one. Thank you. Jeff
  7. Absolutely awesome Foxer. I just love it bumper stickers and all. What a great, great, great job you did on duplicating your daughters car. I've been looking at some diecast and I am amazed at how much their is as far as 70's and early 80ies vehicles. I'm mainly referring to 1/24-1/25 size too. Definitely can fill a few gaps that styrene cannot. Hmmm, I'm starting to get a couple of ideas . Thanks Foxer for showing us the finished car, you definitely scored a home run with it and your daughter must be very happy because I know that I would be If it were me. Thanks. Jeff

  17. I Thank you for this advice too. Would 1 heavy coat work or 1 light coat or a multiple coats of clear work? If you it does not matter than I will just use my best judgment. I appreciate your help with what you have said in your above post. I am always thankful to any and all help. Jeff
  18. Hi Art. I pretty sure that I have seen your name or read your name in few model magazines. Anyway, I just wanted to say your mustang is looking great. My great aunt bought a 64 1/2 convertible new in Los Angeles and had it for almost 30 years. Always garaged and well taken care of. I will definitely be following this one and Thanks Art. Jeff
  19. Hey Roadrunner, just wanted to let you know that I checked the hood on the gtx model that I gave to my nephew and guess what , yep the same gap is present. I'm trying, I'm learning, now I know next time what to look for. I just figured I'd let you or anyone else know that it was not just your kit with the hood gap. You did a really nice job fixing your's and I would not have known how to fix this issue if it wasn't for watching you do it. Thank you. Jeff
  20. thanks ,that's a really good idea. I have a project coming up that I was considering using some older decals but I think I will give them a try using your suggestion. Thanks High octane, I do appreciate it. Jeff
  21. oh,okay . Well you definitely got me into the discussion and thank you. My main concern with decals is the age factor of some. I have only used a few decals that where 20 years plus and did have a couple of them just crumble when used. Is there anything that can be done to prevent this or at least minimize the ( falling apart ) issues. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jeff
  22. I have never done any business with this Company but have read quite a few negative things about them. I am very grateful that I was informed about them, so why would a thread get locked when all that it is doing is informing us about the undesirable business practice of some companies. Basically people letting other people know the good or bad of others. Speaking of which, I personally think anyone that takes advantage of anyone especially in this awesome hobby of ours certainly and unfortunately takes a little OUT of the awesome part of it for me. But on the upside of this I have had a good amount of dealings with a lot of great people in this hobby that definitely have helped keep the "awesome " in it for me. I do hope that you get your order with that company straightend out sooner than later. Thank you. Jeff
  23. Ace - Garageguy, you definitely said it all. I just could not get out what I was thinking about this topic. And about the price for those models, again Ace - Garageguy you hit the nail on the head. Thank you. Jeff
  24. To each their own. More power to ya. Whatever floats your boat. I guess what I am trying to get out is I am just happy to see the hobby taking in as many directions as possible and that one is definitely a difference direction. Thank you. Jeff
  25. I apologize for not being able to answer any of your questions, but after reading what you are asking and looking at the before and after pictures I would very much like to know if anyone has any answers to these issues. I don't believe that I have had a problem with the decals yellowing ( after being applied to the car ) . I have had the issues with the brittle, falling apart when trying to apply problem. My issues have not been with aftermarket decals but with the 30 plus years decals which is totally understandable but isn't there something that can be done to preserve or prevent this from happening. I believe now that I am thinking about it, isn't there a solution out there for decals called ( micro sol ) or something like that. I only have read about it somewhere a very long time ago . Sorry for jumping into your post I am just curious about any answers to these questions of yours. Thanks. Jeff
