New paint application for models?
louie replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That's absolutely amazing. I believe if it can be done on car parts it would probably work in scale. I also agree with Cobraman about full size design not looking right in 1/25-1/24 scale. But maybe they do offer more stuff now. Thanks for sharing this. I really liked it. Jeff -
Anyone want to ride this??

I thought it was an airplane engine? I'm just guessing. Thanks. Jeff -

Revell 55 Chevy Street Machine Question
louie replied to Tyler62990's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
you are so right about the dry fit or test fit before the glue comes out to play. I have built several of the Badman version of this kit and I do remember that the interior and window problem, although a small problem but if not corrected can leave a gap. One of the Greatest things I have learned about model building is Dry Fit, Dry Fit, everything first and you will Way ahead before you even glue the first piece. Thank you. Jeff -
Excellent question. I would like to know what happened too. They are on my list of some day to buy and build. Thank you. Jeff

And you are so right. It's about enjoying the hobby. Don't get me wrong I do take this Hobby very serious but I always have a smile on my face when I build. You hit the nail on the head because that's what it is all about ( enjoyment ). I already posted here about this kit but I will say this , You can build it straight out of the box or slice and dice it either way this kit is and will always be an excellent kit. I love the subject matter what can I say. Oh I know, just enjoy it and have fun. Thank you. Jeff

I found this review very interesting. I guess what I am trying to say is that I learned a few things here and I appreciate the subject matter. I like to learn about anything and everything so Thank you for posting this one. Jeff

Your definitely not alone when it comes to losing parts to the sewer monster. My cat used to collect my model parts too. Took me a while to figure out where the parts where disappearing to but she could only hide so many in her little bed. Anyhow I think you're doing a great job and keep up the good work. Jeff

A blast from the past
louie replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wow, a definite blast from the past! !! Tears are streaming down my face from laughing so hard. How things have changed in 78 years. To be totally honest, I thought it was great just to see ( how it used to be ) . Ahh, the good ol days. Again, absolutely, positively a blast from the past. Keep em coming. Thanks. Jeff -
You did a fantastic job Mr.Stock. Yeah, I've had problems with the lindberg decals too and fixed them ( sort of ) the same way. Overall I find this kit and the related one's to be pretty good kits to build. Thank you for sharing this with us. Jeff

I just love it. I am and always will be a huge fan of big car's. You did a really nice job, looks absolutely gorgeous to me. I know that the 65 is still fairly reasonable in price but the other year's are way out there. And unfortunately that's why I don't have any. But wish I did. But in the meantime I am happy enough to see your's. Thank you for sharing this I for one appreciate it. Jeff

I absolutely agree with you bisc63. It takes a lot of will power to sit back and say ( hey wait a minute I need to slow down ). To me that takes a very strong person to accept that in themselves. And also tells me a lot about a person too. So I congratulate you for sitting back and Rebooting. I, myself have gotten in waaaay over my head with some build's and had to put them unfinished back into the box until I was ready ( more experience on my part ) to finish. So yes I have had to Reboot many, many times and it just makes me better in the long run. Thank you. Jeff

Absolutely agree with Cobraman. With some work you can have a really nice car. Keep going with it and you should be real happy in the end. Thanks. Jeff

This would be great actually "awesome "is more like it. Moebius has been Filling the gaps in and I personally can't thank them enough. Have to just wait and see. Hopefully it will come together and make a lot of people very, very happy. Also, any of the year's stated in the above posts will work for me. Thank you. Jeff

Billy the Kid Stepp 'Cuda - Now finished in 'Drag Racing Models'
louie replied to maltsr's topic in WIP: Model Cars
This is exactly why the model car hobby is so awesome ( at least to me it is ) and I am sure to a lot of other people too. To take a terrific subject like this and give it a little twist in a different direction and end up with a fantastic build is just plain old amazing. You are truly off to a great start, can't wait to see more. Thanks for sharing this with us and Billy the kid stepp is a Great subject to build. Jeff -

Hi Alan. I just wanted to say that I think you did an excellent job describing this kit. I really appreciated you taking the time to review it for us. I have one of these matador's in my stash that is still factory sealed so being able to review what's inside and get opinions on it without unsealing the kit is a huge plus. I am not a collector, I am a builder so this one is on my (someday )list To build. Well thanks everyone. Jeff
