  1. Absolutely love everything about anything Jungle Jim and Pam. Jimmy it looks like you are off to a great start and I appreciate you sharing with us. Thank you. Jeff
  2. Hi there Lee, welcome. I try to build them all and the Big Rigs are great to Build. I Heard that Round 2 is going to reissue the Tyrone Malone Papa Truck and cannot wait for that to happen. Lee, This Forum is the absolute best and you should really enjoy it here. Thanks. Jeff
  3. Hi Matt. Welcome. I am south of Boston myself and I am pretty new here too. This is a Great place to share, learn and meet great people who have the same interests. I cannot say enough positive things about this Forum. My story on modeling is pretty much the same as yours and I am also very addicted to styrene and could not be happier. Again Matt welcome. Jeff
  4. Sledsel, That's the best kit or kitten anyone could ever ask for and Junkman what a cute video of an adorable cat. I unfortunately had to let my little helper go this past summer, she was 18 years old and seeing this post brings back a lot of great memories for me. Thanks everyone. Jeff
  5. wow, those are exellent comparison pictures of the 69 and 70. You just don't relize the differences until you see them next to each other. Great pictures ,Thanks. Jeff
  6. Excellent to hear about this. I'm a firm believer in the polite part as it will always go a long way with most people and places. I'm very happy Cobraman that you got a very positive response to the issues with your kit. It also shows how much Round 2 appreciates their customers. Very glad that you posted this as it shows how good of a company that Round 2 is and I have said it once and I'll say it again "Round 2 you have my business forever ". Thank you. Jeff
  7. Wow that's nice. Yeah I would love to have a kit of that car. Thank you. Jeff
  8. Absolutely Hippie Dude, I definitely agree with you about the Kats at Round 2. A BIG THANK YOU from me. We are so fortunate to have so many desirable kits back on the shelves ( and back in my stash ). And I'm also very excited about what other kits that are going to be coming out in the future. Very Happy, Happy, Happy. Good Thread Hippie Dude and I Thank you too. Jeff
  9. I have to a point. After reading some of the posts here I think that's all going to change. It seems that it's a lot more work trying to remember what I did with this piece , what I did with that part, what color did I use and the Xtra time it's taken To get everything figured out again. I believe that a written journal would solve a lot of wasted time for me and give me more time at the hobby bench. I can and will only speak for myself and I would rather be building and enjoying my building time instead of wasting my time looking for stuff and trying to remember what color, what decals and so on. For me a journal of my projects is a Great idea. Thank you. Jeff
  10. Saw this post the other day and let me say what great information. I knew of some of the kits but definitely not of them all. Thanks for sharing this one. Jeff
  11. Way cool, way cool. Also like the AWB 289 Cobra idea. Good stuff. Thank you. Jeff
  12. I usually use a tooth pick too hold small parts. Like painting a distributor I will drill a small hole in the bottom and insert tooth pick to hold on to. Also works with alternator just do the same thing but from behind it. Or you can just leave everything on the sprue tree and paint what needs to be painted using the sprue to hold in your hand but you will still need to clean and touch up the area that was attached to the sprue. I believe that there is a lot of different ways to paint parts but the ones I described work best for me. Hope that this helps. Jeff
  13. you took the words right out of my mouth. But the sad part of this is another someone with more money than brains will come along and buy it. Everything has a price even that pile. Thanks. Jeff
  14. Dave, Those are cool memories of your Dad. Good stuff. Your Dad working at Valvoline in the 60's in So Cal, you must have a million awesome stories to tell. I just absolutely love hearing about what went on. And I love the picture of your Dad's work x10. Thanks for sharing. Jeff
  15. I watched maybe half of it and definitely like it. Unfortunately could not finish watching right now but I will ABSOLUTELY finish watching it later today. Yes, it's hard to watch all those cars being wrecked but the car's where not valuable collectable's back then. The lead actor says that the car he is buying in one of his scenes isn't worth 50 bucks , WOW how things have changed. I think that I saw George Barris mentioned in the opening credits playing himself. Ace, I like the movie pretty cool stuff so Thank you for posting it. Jeff
  16. Now that's a Paint Booth! Nice work, I love it. Always good to see what someone will do to become better and better at this hobby of ours. I'm still in the spray can stage of painting but I think I see an airbrush in my future. Thanks for sharing this with us. Jeff
  17. I absolutely love to see the young kids pick up the hobby. Really nice to see this and the only advice that I can offer is when he is done with this one give him another kit to build. Your son is very talented, Amazing that this is his first build. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing this with us. Jeff
  18. That's really nice. Definitely like the Dr.Feelgood direction that you are going with, way cool stuff. Thank you for sharing this with us. Jeff
  19. This Is why I just love this forum, I didn't know that jo-han did not do a 68 Roadrunner. Always knew about the 69, but for some reason I thought that there was a 68. Also a few other things that I did not know. Thank you for posting this one. As far as what kits that I would want back that I had Hmmm, I guess that I'll take the easy way and say anything Jo-Han and Mpc. I just don't know where to start, I WANT EVERYTHING . I am also so amazed at all the different types of kits that I missed out on back in the day as a kid. I never thought of how scarce some of these car kits would become. Thank you everyone. Jeff
  20. Wow what a nice car. Great job with everything. Thanks. Jeff
  21. Totally agree, what a great kit. Endless possibilities, we'll at least for me that is. Thanks. Jeff
