Last Modelhaus Order
RestoModGuy replied to unclescott58's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Just received my email from Carol that my May 16th order shipped today! On the way...4 1967 Cougars and 2 sets of 68 Cougar grill/bumpers... My last order was June 22nd for the 72 Riv Boat tail, looks like later summer to get that order, hey I'm just fine with that. -

wow! excellent craftsmanship and high level detail, well done... -
Thanks man... I like the Psycho Sister better than naughty.... I'm officially changing the title if you don't mind me doing so...

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. Yeah this one is starting out as a lot of fun and lots of modifications still to come. Body and paint are my favorite parts of the build, This is my first "On the workbench" posting, looking forward to all the creative feedback as I post updates. Changed the look of the rear sail-vent to better blend with the rear lines... What do you think?
-
Yes, it will... this is a concept of what the rear diffuser will look like, tying in the sail vents... (this is on a Challenger, but you get the idea)

Saw a rendering by Ragle of a Mustang race-concept protouring and said I have to build this. Starting with the AMT Shelby GT-350 Looked at variations for stance, not doing this, just to show what the wheels and tires I will be using look like in a stock position Thought about tucked in the wheel wells... nah... everyone does this with building an Eleanor... Drew out a starting position for trimming... Trimmed out a lot more than I first thought... This is the stance I was looking for and the rendering by Ragle Started the flares... Added the front sail-vent behind the front wheel and modified the side window opening to give it a new lower-chopped look. Also added a deeper body line tying the front sail-vent to the rear scoop and molded it all in. Note the smaller side sail scoop, I think it looks better cut down by a third of the orginal size, this will be moilded in as well.. Created the rear sail-vent behind the rear wheel... haven't decided if I will change the shape of it yet... Feedback? Finally... in primer 3/6... Primary body mods are complete, next is custom racing chassis with ground effects package, splitters, air-dams and rear diffuser

Last Modelhaus Order
RestoModGuy replied to unclescott58's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I was lucky to have got my last orders in as well, only dealing with Carol and Don from 2015 I have to say they are the nicest folks I've met in the hobby, they will be missed for sure. I have several 67 Cougars and the 72 Riv ordered in May as well, can't wait to dig into the Riv The 67 GP Convert is a very nice kit, I built it last year, however my rear bumper was about 3/8" too long and I did have to shorten it from the middle point to fit correctly, The same rear bumper for the HT but it fits much better. -
Monogram 71 Plymouth GTX kit is a very good kit, minimal flash, and everything fit perfect. This was a bucket-list build for many years and finally built one. Paint is Testor One Coat Lacquer Bronze with lots of hand polished Wet Look Clear. Wheels are Pegasus I staggered the rears and used a smaller diameter front tire. AAR hood is a resin piece with PE screen, changes the look on this one from a stock GTX. A little detailing, did the hood lift spring with fine wire. The air-filter is being redone with some PE screen over the K&N painted lines I've always liked the raked look of the 70-80 cars

Wow.... Fantastic craftmanship... I've done plenty of doors opening in my time but what I'm learning from you just takes it to another level beyond anything I've done.... I'm grateful for the level of detail and your explanation, thank you! -

JPS Custom wheels?
RestoModGuy replied to BassSneaker's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Yes, I just recently bought a set of his wheels. Real nice guy to work with, straight up front. Not inexpensive but the nicest one-off wheels I've found. he only has a few 20"-23" styles, if you're looking for the huge "Dub" style wheels he's got plenty of those styles. He does PayPal only, don't blame him actually, but he will follow through. I just ordered 2 more sets in fact -
nice work. Restomod style with the Recaro type seats and I notice the Ford GT wheels and tires. Nice color choice too.

Gotta say I too am very impress with the seats and engines I've bought from Jeremy. His new wheels and Mopar parts look really nice too. Some of the best quality resin casting I've bought -
