My first wife bought this new in 1986 shortly after we met. We had a lot of fun in this little 4-cyl Turbo, even with it's horrible lag... Found this old Dodge Daytona kit that had been started by someone else, stripped it down and built this as a tribute to one of her favorite cars she owned, she lost a battle to cancer in 1999, so now I have a little memento sitting on my desk. I didn't go too far in detail, it was a one-day Saturday build but now one of my special builds.

Just an easy quickie 2-day build. Audi R8 Snaptite- detailed a little... Painted Duplicolor Universal White with clear. Carbon-fiber side sails and roof. Added red accent stripe, red accent interior Ashoima wheels with red edge accent. This is the BASIC Snaptite kit with silver painted headlights, I scraped that off and detailed behind the "glass" bezel with painted spots and Evergreen tubing for the HID

Thing to think about, these kits are a dime a-dozen cheap... I have two I've acquired in bulk buys last year for almost nothing. I think you have a nice concept based on your rendering, I'd just get a new kit and build it! Use the good parts off this yellow one for other builds....

I like the rendering you have created. Nice blend of a two-tone scheme on the Testarossa. If you don't do it, I probably will on one of my kits.

Started with the AMT Boyd Coddington kit. Not a great kit by any run, bought it a a less expensive alternative to the newer Revell 1962 Corvette, which I ended up buying to build it in a different style. So this AMT kit got built like this after seeing a rendering of it. Body mods: Molded in custom from air-dam. Shaved chrome detail off the top of both front fenders. Paint: Duplicolor Artic White with lots of Wet Look Clear polished. Note fine red pinstripe around cove and front wheel. Engine: Corvette ZR1 C4 Wheels: from a C5 Z06 inserted into Pegasus aluminum sleeves

Just finished a JADA 2005 Corvette kit. This is not a diecast. Bronze Base with candy Red over the front, then Candy Tangerine over the whole thing. 6-coats of polished clear

This was a fun fantasy build for a build-off challenge on a Facebook group I belong to. Silly build but with some work in it. Filled in the rear windows and flip hinged the rear shell. Hinged the tailgate to allow for the slide-out "playing" field with handmade ice cooler and Weber Grill with hamburgers and hot-dogs. 4- flat screen TVs to watch the game while tailgating. Just a fun silly way-out-of-my-box build.
