  1. I always look forward to seeing your impeccable police car builds! Your uncle should certainly appreciate it. Thanks for sharing it! I've got this kit in the stash, but I have the Modelhaus '70 LTD conversion kit for it. I may to pick up a few more of these at some point.
  2. This looks killer! I'm also a huge fan of this generation of Corvette! I've got the '72 kit that I'll eventually get to. Not much difference between the '68 and '72, right?
  3. Well, looks like I'll have to use the Jimmy Flintstone Dodge A100! Thanks for the answers!
  4. You're right! I didn't even think about the possibility of it being a Chevy! All of the big three vans from that era looked to similar. But, I see the window shape being the same. Thank you!
  5. It looks like it could be a late 60's Dodge, but the windows don't match anything I've googled. Anyone have an idea if this is just an artist rendering or based on a real vehicle?
  6. I've done trades over the last year or so with Modlbldr, Lunajammer, 1930fordpickup, larry ray, mikemodeler, and Rotorbolt73. All great traders!
  7. Could it be that some of the Duplicolor primers out there are acrylic enamel and the Tamiya is lacquer?
  8. I haven't built it yet, bit it seems like a good kit. Less detailed than the '13 Boss kit, but far from a snap kit. Idk if it's based on the Revell of Germany kit or not, but I'll assume so?
  9. Would I be wrong to assume there isn't a difference between '13 and '14 models? I agree with you on the convertible!
  10. mine came molded in white styrene with two hoods. The same box as this one.
  11. I ran into some car trouble in real life and didn't have a chance to do any work on the interior. Hopefully I'll get into it early next week. Thanks for looking!
  12. Thank you! I'm very happy with this paint job so far.
  13. I have a Revell '14 GT and a Revell '13 Boss 302. Is there something incorrect for those kits? I didn't notice anything that jumped out when I looked at the kits.
  14. That's an idea that I've considered in the past, but just decided to build it curbside. I should also add that the original styrene body that came with this kit was badly damaged from something falling on the box. I replaced it with the body from the AMT Slot Car series that came out in the late 2000's. It's not made of styrene.
  15. Last year I purchased this '61 Ford Galaxie Styline kit. I didn't know much about it, other than the fact that it was a Galaxie and I love Galaxies! I was pretty bummed at first to realize that it's not very detailed and has no engine or chassis to assemble and the interior is very simple. None the less, I decided that it would be a nice kit to try some different techniques I had learned on the forum. Also an excellent opportunity to practice my painting skills. This was the first kit that I had tried to scribe the panel lines and add depth to them. I went a bit overboard and ended up gouging the hood. I had some Testors putty laying around and it just doesn't work right for me. I tried the Tamiya putty and it seemed to work great! I'll add some Vallejo acrylic black wash to the lines and see how that goes! The body has been primed with Rust-oleum plastic primer. I also wanted to try a different brand/type of primer, so I figured I'd use it. So far, it wasn't laying down too thick. I have to sand down the putty and spray a second coat. We'll see how it goes! Here's the body thus far! I'll add some more later on! Thanks for looking and as always, feedback is appreciated!
  16. Thanks, Ben! I'm pretty happy with the results. It has 2 coats of primer to prevent the red plastic from seeping through the color. I then did a mist color coat and one wet color coat. I'm currently working on printing the dashboard gauges and touch screen. Once that's done, this will be up on the shelf.
  17. Hey everyone! I decided to pick up one of the Revell 2015 Mustang GT kits from the build and play series. I got tired of waiting to see if there would be a full detail kit coming soon. Are you listening, Revell? People will buy this kit! Anyway, I decided to detail the interior and what little that I could on this kit, for as simply detailed it is as it stand. I just wanted a quick and satisfying build. The body was painted in Duplicolor's Storm Gray over Duplicolor gray primer. The color is close to Ford's Guardsman Gray Metallic. I'll hopefully be able to get the clear coat sprayed tomorrow and I'll try and get the interior pictures up tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for looking!
  18. Thanks, everyone! This was a fun kit. I'm considering building a different one with a different color combination.
  19. I spend about 15 hours a day away from home and my computer. I could post more progress, kit reviews, parts and other photos if it was easier to by phone. I've also had issues with my Android tablet uploading photos. I pay for Fotki. I haven't used photobucket in years. Maybe I'll look into that when my subscription expires. Thanks.
  20. I've read them. I've got 3 or 4 photo hosts. When I attempt to insert photo from URL, it just shows a spinning circle. I just checked now, it's still spinning. Going on 5 hours, haha.
  21. I need to get the hang of uploading and posting photos from my iPhone. Any suggestions? I'm out of available storage on the forum itself.
  22. Finished up the Revell Starsky and Hutch Gran Torino last week. On this build, I tried to add depth to the panel lines and I went a bit over board. This is a real nice kit and a lot of fun to build. I've got an idea for a modern take on the old striped tomato. Enjoy! Feel free to leave some constructive feedback!
  23. This sounds interesting! May I ask where you got the wheels and trans kit body?
