  1. Thanks, Pat!, looks like a fun kit to build!
  2. Superb job.....love it! Q: did you run into any issues while building this kit?
  3. I agree with everyone else.........VERY realistic!! I really think that all you guys who do this kind of weathering are amazing. I could never bring myself to do it to any of my builds though. best I can force myself to do is a well maintained daily driver.
  4. Really great look, and detail! Are the whitewalls decals, or painted? if they are painted, they look pretty darn good! they'd still look good as decals, obviously
  5. I bet we all get those slumps, I'm in the middle of one myself now. You pulled yourself out and produced another excellent model! well done on both accounts!!
  6. This is extremely cool! love the color, and not that its a bad thing, but it reminds me of a vintage Hot Wheels! -Very cool look, and well executed!
  7. Simply........WoW!!
  8. Looks pretty darn good to me!!
  9. totally agree!!
  10. Never knew they did one. gotta admit, sure does look like a dragon, or even old Hasegawa kit, doesn't it?! -Always look forward to seeing your builds!
  11. Thanx, Matt, I really appreciate you taking the time to give me this very informative response. I think I will try to get the Aston Martin DBR9. been wanting to build a car in this scale, and seeing yours told me that it could still look real. Again, thanx!, and fantastic job on yours!!
  12. thanks, Harry!, the display case thing was suppose to be funny. sorry if it didn't come across that way
  13. I tried it once -NOT good, Maybe airbrush gloss clear acrylic? I brush painted some Model Master clear gloss acrylic on a clear piece, and appart from very slight brush marks, it didn't mess up the clear part at all. I've also heard that Turtle Wax's brand of auto headlamp reconditioner works very well too.
  14. Everything you got going here looks GREAT, and flows very well! Wish it was a kit, i'd deffinitly build it!
  15. Ya, should say V-10 if anything.
  16. Cant see anything outta place -looks outstanding! Q: did you have to re-etch any panel lines?, and do you recommend this kit? I've been eyeballing these kits for some time, especially the Aston Martin DB5.
  17. Great job weathering!, only thing I would add, would be a tiny bit of flat black paint in the end of the tailpipe
  18. Looks VERY good!, I really like how you displayed it as well.
  19. Very sweet!!, I love this version way better than the one that is missing the trunk lid. Very well done!!
  20. Great mods, Pat!, the wheels look great on it!, Q: Is this the Dragon kit?, I have that kit, but mine doesn't have those wheels in it.
  21. Extremely nice work! This is the first model I ever built as a kid with my dad. Yours looks WAAAAAY better than mine! I decided to redo it just recently with my dad, and actually paint brushed the whole thing like I did when I was 10 -looks like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH when brush painted. Anyway, Fantastic job! Q:are the tyres from Fireball modelworks?
  22. Forgot to tell you that I also really like the black wash you did in the rear vent. so many try, but it just ends up looking inconsistent and messy. did you etch it deeper prior to painting?
  23. Absolutely beautiful, Harry! Q: How long did it take for the stain on the roof to dry?, did you have to seal it?, and I bet you spend a fortune on display cases for your builds!
  24. Congrats on a very nice looking build!
  25. Very tough looking! -love the interior pic!
