  1. Looks really nice Rich! I’ll agree this kit was a joy to build.
  2. This is Revell’s 1/48 scale Flying Tiger piloted by John W. Ferrell if the American Volunteer Group. It’s my sixth 1/48 build of WW2 aircraft. I airbrushed the green Apple Barrel acrylic craft paint over Tamiya Dark Earth. Pretty much a cheap kit but builds up ok. Thanks for checking it out.
  3. Looks like it may have opened in August? 11610 W. 95th, conveniently located next to a Hobby Lobby. as far as kits on hand I saw a coke trailer, Myers Manx, a corvette Cr7? and a mid 90’s Mustang along with various jet aircraft.
  4. My haul from Ollie’s, Hobby Lobby and a local Hobby Haven in Overland Park,Ks.
  5. Was quite surprised to see this Charger was priced at only 29.99, unlike other new kits there. A bargain at 40% off nowadays.
  6. My first trip to Ollie’s in Overland Park, Ks., which I think might be the only one in the area. Very limited selection but I came home with a Monogram Dodge Vioer to add to my collection.
  7. Very nice looking floatplane. What scale is that?
  8. Thank you guys for all your extremely kind comments!
  9. Better yet, finally a Maverick!
  10. Just finished up this nice building kit of the 66 Fairlane. Paint is Tamiya Racing White. Thanks for looking!
  11. I was speaking of the actual size of the plane compared to the other fighters of the day. The build itself was quite easy, but you are correct, with the 8 .50 caliber guns it was definitely the beast!
  12. Very cool, I’ll have to check these out next time. Unfortunately since I retired and moved my closest store is an hour away instead of 5 minutes.
  13. I bought this kit at a garage sale for five bucks this summer. Decal were unusable so I purchased these Warbirds Decals from Hobbylinc. Actually they didn’t cost a penny using built up rewards. Paint is all Tamiya rattle can. Plane is ready for it’s maiden flight with Paul A. Conger at the sticks. Thanks for looking and welcome your feedback. this plane was a beast
  14. Fantastic work on a beautiful plane.
  15. Looks great, sure puts mine to shame.
  16. This is great! I want one!
  17. Very cool and thoughtful. Someone’s going to be very happy!
  18. Just finished this old dive bomber up. Upper color is kit plastic with a matte clear coat and lower is Tamiya AS-16 Lt gray. I’m really enjoying these 1/48 scale WW2 planes. This kit has a lot of moving parts, many in which I was able to get to work. Folding landing gear, swinging bomb, open and close dive flaps and moveable tail gunner gun and swinging tail hook. Drilled out the 268 holes in the dive flaps, greatly improved the looks of it. Thanks for looking and enjoy. I forgot to add a bit of history on this plane. ”This SBD from the air group off the Wasp participated in attacks on Guadalcanal on August 7 1942. The roundels have been crudely enlarged by hand, while the stars had been left the original size”
  19. Looks pretty perfect to me. Excellent looking Chrysler.
  20. Thank you all for looking and taking the time to leave the nice comments.
