    I know exactly what you're talking about. I picked this one up, then realized it was a reissue of a snap kit. Still, assembly is going well, and it doesn't look like a snap. Mind you, I'm doing a lot of customizing on this one. Looking forward to seeing your progress!

    I'm not sure why this car leaves me so underwhelmed. I should like it. I've always liked AMC product, especially the Javelins. Huge power, the right upgrades to make the car handle...I don't know. I know I don't like the revised wheelbase. Maybe the combined sum of the parts is just a little much for me. Totally respect the build though.

    Tough to be completely accurate when you're working with basically a 2hr time limit. Condense the important bits, tell the story, make it fit. Still, looks good to me. I'll be seeing it for sure.

    With the skills kids today have on computers, it would be interesting to see what kind of vehicles a teen would design now. In typical 60s fashion, no girls allowed.

    There is a mesh screen, but it is hidden quite a way inside the duct work. You can't really see it on the 1:1 unless you get right up close.

    A local performance shop held their season opener show this past weekend. Didn't get too many pics, but here's a few that caught my attention.

    Canadian band Big Sugar. They have cars on a significant chunk of their albums. They even named one of their albums "Hemi-vision." Any guesses as to leader Gordie Johnson's brand of choice? And Ministry had this. I even had the shirt back in the day. And a classic. Def Leppard.

    Maybe there's hope. I mean, in the past five years, we've seen a couple of Pacer reissues and a couple of Gremlin reissues. I'd love a Javelin kit or two, and a reissue of the Matador.

    Luna took a chunk out of the lawn and ate it in honour of Fmeep's birthday.

    Built this a couple of years ago, and loved it. I like the colour choice. Very similar to the most recent Volvo FH trucks featured in their ads.
