Lamborghini Cheetah
iamsuperdan replied to 89AKurt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
So how rare are these kits? Woudl be cool to find one. I would love it if someone would build a kit of the Cheetah's successor.- 24 replies

Ford Transit Mk2
iamsuperdan replied to mrmike's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I love this kit. Back in the 80s, we were visiting family in England, and I picked up the original molded in red ESCI kit. The one in the Ford promo box. Built it, thought it was awesome. One trip off the shelf too many, and it ended up in the bin. I have since bought four of the ESCI kits in all the available colours, and have two of these Italeri reissues. I have no idea why I'm so obsessed with this kit, but I am. Looking forward to seeing yours! -
I'm guessing maybe two or three people here at most have any idea who this is. But the music world lost another to suicide. Keith Flint of The Prodigy. Hugely influential to the music I wrote in the 90s.

I watched this show religiously back in the day. And he was my fav character. And I have one of those trendy tat quotes. And it's from him. lolz "May the bridges I burn light my way."

I hope that when I die, my wife doesn't sell my stash for what I told her it cost.

I like almost all science fiction. One of my favs is District 9. Perhaps the best alien movie ever.
-
I really should inventory the stash. I'm at that point now where I buy something because it looks great, and "how do I not have this already?!" Then I get home and I already have it. I don't know if it's because of the size or because I'm old. Lolz

What did you see on the road today?

Saw this last week. Whatever your belief system, I think everyone can agree with the message here. Try being decent to each other. -
I don't believe it! This is way too good to be just your first diorama! lolz Amazing work. Your detail and realism is just perfect. Your pic above reminds me of a pic I took last summer.

That is a very cool looking wrap. I've seen similar pics on the net of a rusted out new Challenger Hellcat as well. Including the plastic bumpers. I don't care that it's inaccurate, I think it looks cool. -
Windchill was around -38 this morning. Cold I can deal with, but I hate windchill. This afternoon was only around -15, but with windchill it felt like -24. Ugly. For funsies, everyone should go their app store of choice and download the WTForecast app. It's like your weather forecast, but it also expresses how we really feel about our weather. I love it.

Was discussing ordering Sprinters with my Mercedes fleet guy on Thursday. Then this thing rolls in to the dealership. G63 AMG 6X6 Parked next to it is a similarly equipped G-wagen SUV. Both on US Consul plates. These are selling for well over $500k US right now, with some over $1mil. -

Actually, your colour looks pretty close to mine. I painted mine a Tamiya colour, some sort of wood tan or something. I think I'll jsut dirty up the steel and aluminum bits and call it a day! -
As a fellow VW fan, welcome! Also, I see the Boss GT8 box in your pic. Tell me about guitar collection! music is my other big hobby.

So I have most of the initial assembly done on the frame. Engine is done, except for a few touchups. Having said that, I think I'm going to repaint it, as it just doesn't look right to me. The tan turned out darker than expected. Conversely, the engine won't be visible or accessible in the finished product, so I may just leave it. -
So i don't know anything about Gundam. Are these things just robots? Or do they transform into stuff, like those other robots.

I'd be all over a few of these. Had a 93 Sport, put well over 400,000km on it. i still miss it. -

Tamiya do a 1/24 version. They're all over EBay, but can sometimes be pricey. -

Nice! And the mud looks great! Particularly behind the wheels. Odd looking engine. I wonder which one it's supposed to represent. Doesn't really look like the 5.2L.
