  1. There's a few kits that I want that always seem to elude me. The AMT 1966 Mercury COmet Cyclone. I'd even go for the promo kit that came out. But on the promo kits, prices are always crazy, or the kit is missing parts, or is damaged. And I have yet to find the full AMT kit for sale. I figure, much like the original issue AMT AMC Matador X kit, I'll either stumble across a reasonably priced one, or it'll get reissued. Need to build a replica of the car we had when I was growing up.
  2. Just to pick at nits, the current 2015-2019 Escalade runs the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, not the old Vortec 6L boat anchor. And if someone wanted to go crazy, there are 11 factory wheel options on the Escalade!
  3. I'm the opposite of some of you guys. The 964 is my fav generation of 911, and the 964 RS has been my dream car for a long, long time. From 1990 to 2005 I worked for the local Porsche dealer. FIrst as the detailer, then as Porsche sales. Spent a lot of time with a lot of Porsaches, and the 964 just always did it for me. The closest I ever got to experiencing the RS was the ultra limited RS America we got here. Very basic, but with the standard North American spec suspension, standard engine...and it came with a sunroof. My dealership got one, in Arctic Silver. Anyway, looking forward to following this one.
  4. This week's episode really drove something home for me. They spend an awful lot of time building drama on somehting that really isn't that exciting. The "showcase" wreck in this episode seemed to be a lot of build up for what was essentially pretty standard fare. Good to see the Peterbilt make an appearance though. I think that's a great looking truck.
  5. Totally agree, but unfortunately, I don't think this is a recent development. I think it's always been the case that when someone is accused of something, or arrested, and word gets out, the scuttlebutt starts immediately about that person. Everyone assumes guilt immediately. From things as simple as schoolyard antics back in elementary school to high profile cases. Society loves a juicy story, and loves to judge befroe getting all of the facts.
  6. What does the finished truck look like? Pretty wild. Couldn't imagine trying to drive that!
  7. Well I think that modded car is just about perfect. Lowered, no blinged out giant wheels, no wings or spoilers, no ridiculous graphics, no giant exhaust tips, upgraded interior, but nothing ridiculous. It's the kind of build I'd do. Totally my cup of tea! I think the only way to improve it on this is to make it a wagon. Want. Want. Want.
  8. What's sad is that it took so long for people to come forward and that he got away with it for so long.
  9. Just skip the first two or three seasons. They were terrible. Low budget, no humour, no chemistry amongst the hosts, no challenges. It was four or five seasons in before they really got rolling on the format and hosts that we love.
  10. I'll be honest, I don't think a discussion about it could stay civil, and would in all likelihood get locked. Correctamundo!
  11. Don't worry, it's not going anywhere anytime soon! The idea came up in frustration a week or two ago. There was some nonsense, and some trolling, and it got heated. Purely out of frustration, someone suggestion just ditching this area completely. Also in frustration, others agreed. I think I did at the time as well. But cooler heads prevailed, and don't worry. it's not going anywhere. Having said that, I think if the thought was being seriously considered, I would like to think we'd take a poll and gather some info from members prior. Have a discussion.
  12. There are so many that I can watch again and again. The perfect car for 17 year olds. Or the River Kwai episodes. The source of the Nile... The classic car rally, featuring Madison Welch. So many great episodes. I need to go back and rewatch some of these on Netflix. It's been a while.
  13. That looks great. Especially considering that's an Italeri kit!
  14. Holy moly. Dude. Can you have your wife reach out to my wife and explain how and why she lets you get away with this set up? lolz Love it. Oh yeah, and I guess the build is pretty awesome too.
  15. Interesting that this one has two different front end treatments. I think if the inner lights were moved right next to the outer lights, these wouldn't be so bad. I definitely saw some Falcon in the second one.
  16. Mine has stalled, but WILL be picked up again very soon.
  17. Country music. *barfs* Definitely picking up a little Sympathy vibe though.
  18. Wifey thinks I'm crazy. Apparently, wagons and vans are dumb. Ahh well, when I find the right one, and have it done how I want it, she'll come around. Or not.
  19. The fines here are $287 CDN and three demerit points. 15 demerit points and you lose your license for a while.
  20. Today's biggest irk? I got my usual steeped tea at Tim Hortons, but had a client come in and chat for a long time, and by the time I got back to it, it was cold.
  21. Yeah, it's been illegal here for a couple of years now, but everyone still texts.
  22. Nope. Nope. Nope.
  23. When I was in grade school, I was in the Bigfoot fan club. I think I still have the birthday gift they sent. Elementary school would have loved this kit immensely! Nice build!
  24. Did it look something like this? Because believe it or not, this is 100% factory stock. Mercedes G550 4X4 Squared.
