  1. I was actually thinking this the other night. The logistics of having to move my hobbies. Not only the model stash (admittedly, maybe a couple of hundred) but also my guitars. It's one thing to move down the street, but across country? Or what if we wanted to move overseas? I think we'll just stay here for a while!
  2. VW had never built a four wheel drive version of the original bus/transporter. However, they did have factory suspension lifts with aggressive tires, so this one is entirely feasible. No idea what that is in the bed, but it looks cool. I like this build a lot. Nicely done!
  3. Well, I'm already further ahead than I got on last year's BRBO! Got some initial assembly done on the engine last night. Also need to thank Lucas (trick my mixer) for supplying the sleeper I need. 10/10 would trade with him again.
  4. Much ado about nothing, my friend.
  5. Umm...does everyone really think he's gone? Lolz. We haven't banned him, nor have we deleted any of his posts. Nor are we planning to. So like the last time he was warned for crossing the line, he'll go away for a bit, and then he'll be back. Probably. He has a lot of knowledge to share, and it's great when he does. Because even though he can be a little blunt, and a little too direct for some, he knows what he's talking about. But like everyone else, he needs to follow the rules. And just like everyone else, if he can't follow simple rules, then there are consequences. No one around here is above the rules.
  6. It's been done! Fujimi made this one. I have it in the stash. https://hlj.com/1-24-scale-toyota-supra-3-0-turbo-a-fuj03862 https://hlj.com/1-24-scale-toyota-supra-turbo-a-1987-fuj04595
  7. Amazon has the same problem. I've always wondered when I see something pretty common for a ridiculously astronomical price. There has to be a reason for it, because there are hundreds of sellers doing it.
  8. Volvo FH4 Globetrotter XL. Must buy.
  9. So many ESCI re-pops. I love it. LOVE IT! I've build the G-wagen, would totally get another. There's at least 8 or 9 kits there I would buy. Range Rover, the 944S2 Cabrio, BMW M1...finally, a company releasing stuff I can get behind!
  10. Are we talking pure dreaming? Or dreams that would have a snowflake's chance of getting produced? For pure dreaming: 73-76 Ford Gran Torino wagon 77-78 Plymouth Fury wagon 77-79 Ford Thunderbird For something that is within the realm of possibility: A modern pickup. Something current. Modern SUVs. Like a 2015+ Chev Tahoe for example. Ram 5500 chassis cab. Imagine the build possibilities of offering a chassis cab kit, then multiple kits of potential bodies for them. Service bodies, decks, picker units, mini-tanks, cubevans, etc.
  11. EXACTLY what Bill said. I'm sure some longer term admins can chime in with more detail, but a for sale section is an emphatic no.
  12. Width is almost exact, but the height is visibly out. The more I look at the pics, the more it bugs me. lolz. I think I need to pick up some Italeri trailers.
  13. Maybe a little inspiration for you?
  14. Fantastic finish on this! I dig the look.
  15. I know it's not exactly what you're after, but here's the Italeri Volvo FH16 and the Moebius 53ft trailer. 1/24 tractor, 1/25 trailer. Slightly out of proportion, but not horrible. I don't have any of my Italeri American trucks built yet. So can't get that comparison going yet.
  16. Awesome job! Enjoy these moments while they last! My daughter is very slowly finishing a Jeep build with me. She literally hates watching paint dry, so isn't the biggest fan of building. I think she just likes the daddy/daughter time, which is fine by me. Although now we spend more time playing guitar. And although she's only 11, she keeps asking me about "her" truck out on the driveway. Kids, gotta love them!
  17. I like your colour choices here! Everyone seems to build this car in silver with red leather. Which looks great, but this just looks different, and I like it.
  18. I like the paint can racks you have. That's my biggest peeve about my bench. I have no proper paint storage. Nice makeover!
  19. I thought you were going for accurate? Your interior is way too good. I've seen the real thing, and yours appears to be built to tighter tolerances! Keep 'em coming. I love it!
  20. Holy smokes. I finished something! Not my best work, but I'm happy. If I'm going to keep taking pics, I really need to improve my masking skils. I see every flaw. I built this to replicate one of my fav diecasts I had growing up. As you've probably guessed, this is Revell's 1980 Dodge Ramcharger kit, with some 3D printed bits courtesy of Shapeways. The seller is on the forums here. Can't remember his name though. The 3D bits are really well done, and fit with very little fuss. It's weird though. I sanded the heck out of that hood, but in certain pics, you can see waves, probably from the printing process. Ah well, can't see it in person. I built it box stock, only adding the first aid kit in the back, fire extinguishers, the siren, and a radio. I have no idea where all the bits came from. Maybe the AMT Rescue Van? And yes, I know I forgot to paint the lower trim and turn signals. Anyway, here we go.
  21. No additional duty fees at all. WHat you see on the site is what you pay.
  22. Until recently, I forgot that Motorhead attempted a ballad once. I love it.
  23. What colour are you painting it?
