Thanks very much to all of the above who took the time to respond it is appreciated. RE: John Pol, those are Pro Tech seatbelts which I feel are easy to work with and look pretty good. Glen

This would be more of a "shelf model class" build. Revell 2010 Camaro with the back half chassis of the less accurate but more compact AMT pro street Chevelle, Comp. Resin hood and Slixx decals. Not a lot of scratch built items other than the roll cage and reducing the front wheel openings app. .080". Finish is Tamiya met. blue with clear blue an MM wet look clear. Thanks for checking it out and I'm OK with any comments or questions. Glen

Tom I believe the only issue would be a shorter filter life. Glen -
Great variety of detail parts just wish they had a smoother finish. Glen

Stuart, I would say your first attempt at airbrushing and weathering went very, very well. Over the years I spent quite a bit of time at Conn. Dragway an enjoyed the local connection of this build. In addition the town I live in is closely bordered by Taunton and Somerset Mass. Thanks, Glen

What airbrush will do this?
Glen Powers replied to jchrisf's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Tom, as long as I thin the paint to the right consistency I spray at 18psi to 20psi. Glen -
What airbrush will do this?
Glen Powers replied to jchrisf's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Chris, I subscribe to the 'thin, soft, close" method. Thin paint, low pressure, close to the target, for me I feel it results in less overspray/orange peel. It seems when it comes to airbrushing just about everyone has a method that works for them and you will no doubt develop your own also. Glen -
What airbrush will do this?

Chris, I have a Grex TG .3MM with the fan spray cap that does exactly that. As far as easy clean up, well I don't think it's to bad but that will vary from person to person. Glen -
Manuel, your results speak volumes about the work your put in on this build, especially considering the JoHan kit this started with! Glen
-
Jack, great subject to do a model of and his Pinto was also a formidable Modified Eliminator contender. Glen
-
Jerry, great job on a kit I frankly don't ever remember seeing. Glen
