What color would match this blue
Greg Myers replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
dropped axle and no trim rings with big and littles, it's not going to be box art, so what difference does the color make ? -
Battleship gray, navy gray, all of a sudden every manufacturer has a color resembling the plain utilitarian gray the navy used.

It's all about scale. I don't believe you can achieve the necessary function in a scale that small. I have used some fine linen paper folded and glued it to the appropriate pieces. it can be painted and works rather well. I'd post a picture except I've traded the car (Monogram "30 Model A Phaeton) to a friend' -

It would be nice to see Round2 put all of the parts back into their next release. I remember spoked wheels as well as Halibrand Kidneybeans. there were also a few different steering wheel options as time went on.

All this kit bashing, swaping out detailed chassis, what do you do with the left overs ?

Don't remember the first one. Got plenty for speeding in high school class of 65, driving my '56 Belair. Best story was a time cruising Speedway blvd. (yes, a main street in Tucson Arizona) there were a bunch of us in different cars Me, in my '56 a friend in his '58 and the XKE we were after. eventually a cop got us all pulled over and lined up taking our licences to run them. When a bunch of squawking on his radio he comes running back, hands us our licences back. " Your lucky. I've got to go to a robbery in progress."

all the kits out there with the "Y" block Ford , it's hard to imagine there aren't some in a kit. -
I wonder why the "Roadster frame" tree was included ? Are there any parts necessary to build the Mooneyes Dragster ?

I was thinking, there are so many "57 Chevy kits out there and companies are always looking for ways to get just one more shot out of their old molds. What If one of them did a Popular Hot Rodding Project "X" kit ? It would have all of the options to build anyone of the many variations PHR did through out it's life. Hot Rod Garage has returned it to it's Hollywood Knights version.
