I would have restored it but its really glued togather so it would not come apart easy, thinking about getting a new kit and building a nicer version next winter.

I definately would be interested in the flathead and what do you need.

Let's See Some Glue Bombs!

Here is a built 25 model T I picked up about 20 years ago at a garage sale for 10 cents,it was missing the hood and top and about a year ago I found those parts. I added the tires and flathead and might change the motor to a model A motor or if a V860 if one is made in resin, its done and not going to do anything more to it. -
I picked it up built as a stocker at a garage sale for 10 cents about 20 years ago,it was missing the top and hood but I added the tires and flathead motor and forgot about it. About a year ago I picked up a hood and top so I got it back out and added a dropped axle up front and painted the top and hood so its done and no intention of restoring it and will leave it as it is. If I ever find out a V8 60 is made in resin I will get one and install it so I can put in a better firewall or got with a model A motor.

Late 70s GM V8 colors
junkyardjeff replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I did not want to go to the parts store and buy a can of engine enamel since it would be another can of paint only used one time taking up space on the shelves. The Chrysler paint looks close enough for me. -
The ones I ran into I do not think were texting but could not decide if they wanted to go left or right or go east or west on the highway,I could understand it if they had out of state or county plates but they lived in the area and I think are just stupid.

The idiot drivers that can not figure out what lane they want to be in.

The rain last week got me in the basement so I was able to do a little more on it,wanted to drop a 455 Olds in it but it would require a little more modification so I am going to install the original SBC and make it look like a late 70s motor. Now if I could just find some late 70s small hubcaps that look correct.

All I could find was a bottle of Ford/GM blue which is too dark so I am going to use Chrysler blue since its closer. -

I have one I built back in 74 that needs to be restored and you got me thinking about a 40 ford coupe trunk lid on one.- 92 replies

I am finishing up the restoration of the MPC late 70s Chevy p/u stepside and would like to paint the motor the color it would have been from the factory, were they kind of a dull blue.

Using 49 and 50 parts I am building a 49 convertible like my dad had in the early to mid 50s,from what I can tell from the old color pictures it was a pea green with a maroon interior and not sure on the top so it will match the interior. It will not be the best build since I am building it with very used parts and have been collecting parts for about 10 years but it got paint tonight. Its not exactly pea green but close enough and will have a built flathead like my dad had for about a year but yanked it because it used too much gas.

Ebay dreamers
junkyardjeff replied to 1959scudetto's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I bought a couple parts from PJ toys a few years ago but it seems like the prices have went up a bit since then,I tried to buy a hood I really needed a couple months ago but could not complete the transaction because I was not set up for instant credit card purchases so I do not even look there now. I have a local hobby shop that sells parts and parts kits so I go there now and not ebay. -
Its based off the 5 window coupe kit with the convertible parts from the 60s,it has 40 bumpers and the flipper hubcaps from the sedan delivery kit and will get more pictures when I feel better.
