  1. Hi Roger, I am planning to do those style of mirrors for my 66 Ford 1 ton. For the the wheels, could you get me some better pics. Are they 5 hole 6 lug, 8 lug?? Here is a pic of the Ford wheels I just finished which are similar.
  2. I can see if I can do something for this, I started a header panel and of course the tailgate is about ready. The floor probably wouldn't be too bad so I will look into it, Thanks Mike
  3. Very nice, like the mean look, mods and color goes great with it! I use my phone for my pictures but put my pics on a laptop in a folder then just upload them from folder. If the pics are too big to upload then I have to run them through photoshop and resize them.
  4. https://www.rookieresin.com/ try this. Hope to do business with you Roy, The Ford wheels are not quite ready but will be real soon!
  5. Thanks David, if you have questions, just PM me and I will be happy to explain things in more detail if needed.
  6. Thanks Brad, that is looking really cool! I started with the diecast 66 Ford but then Moebius started releasing these kits so I scrubbed the diecast for a more accurate cab with details. Are you going for a car hauler or flatbed?
  7. Thanks Mike, no the color is more like this one.
  8. Thanks Mike, I wasn't planning on the floor as it can easily be done with balsa or hobby wood pieces. I am planning on a full tailgate and can do a front header panel. If demands call for it, I could maybe do something for the floor. or a whole resin bed possibly.
  9. Thanks Lou, the color I am going with is the Caribbean blue/green color Ford had on these.
  10. Started on a new build for my "day in 1979" diorama. I learned how to drive in a 62 Ford flatbed pickup and later we had a 64 1 ton dually flatbed that I put some miles on. This build will be a tribute to the dually. I am using the 66 Moebius stepside kit for this. I am making parts along the way as I build this conversion. This will be an all wood flatbed and the cab will be caribean blue/green. I started with the frame and stretched it to the longer cab and chassis wheelbase. Next was finding a dana rear axle. I used the firestone 78 Ford rear axle as it is for an F350. An issue I had right away was 1 ton leaf springs. I got on my computer and researched some pictures and made the rear springs with over loads. They are not 100% accurate for a 1966 but are close enough for me. Next up was altering the front fenders for F350. This was simple as I just took away the inner radius to achieve the right fenders. Next up was the wheels. I needed Ford 6 lug wheels and truck tires so I made some for this build. I will offer the wheels and everything else on my website "Rookieresin.com". I also made a straight axle for the front and used the firestone 4x4 springs for the right ride height. The 1:1 springs a flatter but I opted for the higher front end. Painted and weathered the tire/wheels and just set them up for a mock up and checking everything. I sanded off the chrome trim on the cab and hood and started on the bed and made a new dash bezel as the 350's had a different gauge cluster. Thanks for looking and comments are welcome!
  11. Stu, I will look into that cause yeah that's a bit high. Sorry for that, the shipping thing is a challenge to figure out for international. I will be in touch about it.
  12. I am ready to announce the 67-69 Ford grills for the Moebius kits. I have put together with my 16 year daughter a website to market the Ford grills along with some other goodies. The grills are not perfect but are as close as possible and require some miner sanding for a good fit. The website is at this link: https://www.rookieresin.com/ My daughter and I are new at the whole website thing so I hope everything is working properly and such. I have several items still in the makings and you will see a lot of "coming soon" stuff but the grills are as ready as they are going to be. I want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as I worked on these over several months. A special thanks to MK11 (Mike) for his help on accuracy and measurements. Thanks also to those that gave some pointers. I hope to have a customer gallery of finished projects with my parts on the website so feel free to send pics to the e-mail.

  21. Thank you, The seat was a new experiment for me. I scaled some patterns on photoshop and just printed it out on regular paper, sprayed some glue on after sanding the seat and then applied it in two pieces. If I were to do it again I would figure out how to get the paper a little more wet to better lay around the bends but be careful! too wet and the ink runs. More spray glue might do it. I painted the edges with black to seal them and then dry rubbed some dirt powder to give it the "dirty used" look. Its simple but effective. I thought about decals but not sure how they would turn out. This method is far easier for me. Maybe someone here has a better method????? I would be interested in hearing any ideas if they do as I am always looking for new ideas as well.
