  2. Love what your doing! I will be watching this build!
  3. Nice build! Great details. Wheels and tires were an excellent choice!
  4. That is coming along VERY nice! Great work on that engine bay also!
  5. I have / use a very similar light but run into a problem sometimes with the magnifier having to be within about 6 inches of the object to be in focus. If I am working with something I am holding, no problem but if its something on the bench then it can be a little cumbersome. Otherwise its great!
  6. Nice!!!!
  7. Beautiful paint work! Interior is outstanding!
  8. Nice old work truck! Weathering is well done...not too much! Love it!
  9. Beautiful!
  10. One of the best 500's I have seen! Nice work!
  11. Exceptional detail work! Well done!
  12. Yeah mines on 1/2 inch plywood very close to your dimensions...I left an area to place a road with another piece of foam. I sand it down for approaches, the dome on the road and curbs. Don't breath in that stuff when sanding!!
  13. I use signs as well, however, I took the time and researched plastic manufacturers around me and found a place 45 min away from me that sold me a 4ft by 8ft sheet of white 1mm thick for $17. I just rolled it up and put it in the car and have been using that sheet for over a year! They have all kinds of stuff in different thicknesses from clear, aluminum coated, corrugated, etc. My point is to look for these types of places near your residence....you never know!
  14. Elvin, be sure to use acrylic paint as others will dissolve the foam, also be sure to experiment with glues to see what works. I use elmers white, clear, and wood glue. I have successfully applied static grass and the only major challenge with the foam is not scratching or denting it accidentally. Good luck and can't wait to see how it turns out!
  15. Love the location!!! Looking great!
  16. Hey Elvin, I ran into this problem not too long ago myself for my gas station diorama I am still working on. What are you using for "asphalt"? If you don't know yet, I use pink insulation foam boards lightly sanded. Painted it flat black (airbrush) with acrylic hobby paint from wally world, then to lighten it up, I sprinkled baby powder over it and rubbed it in by hand. you could use brown powder of sorts with the same technique to get a "dirty" look. Watch out for anything that will tear up the foam. It also makes great concrete! Hope this helps! That is what I use anyways....maybe someone has a better technique??
  17. Beautiful build! Well done!
  18. Hi Mark, I have not started on the engine yet (only the valve covers). I do have the v6 emblems done and have chosen to print these and a few other small items rather than cast them. I haven't offered anything yet because I am waiting to finish molding/casting a few items. As far as specs for the engine, I am coming up pretty much empty as well, Landman sent me a few measurements on the v12 a few days ago. PM me and I will forward that info to you if you would like. What are you doing for the grill or dash on your suburban?
