  1. This is a truly outstanding build. I especially like threads like this as I get to learn something along the way. I may have missed it earlier, but what type of CF decals are you using? I have some CF from SAS, but I don't like it very much. Can't wait to see the finished Ferrari! IT will be a gem for sure. Chris
  2. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it. I have the 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. shift on Saturday. I'd love to go, and hope to next year. Steve will you be making the St. Peter model show in September? Chris
  3. The weathering on this is very lifelike. You've caught the aura of rat-rods in my opinion. Great work! Chris
  4. I love that color! It goes well with the gal on the car! LOL Charlie is that the Tamiya metal chrome body? If so did you spray right over it? Chris
  5. Can't go wrong with a Lambo! Looking good Charlie! Chris
  6. That is a great looking truck! Chris
  7. That red interior really sets it off! Nicely done! Chris
  8. That's gorgeous! Chris
  9. It has all the right cues. PERFECT! Chris
  10. Lyle, great pictures! I love the punisher truck rod. That was very cool. Lots of really cool rods anyway! Chris
  11. Spent the morning with the boys at Shakopee(Minnesota) Raceway Park where the annual Mopar show is held. Nice show. Here are a few gems from the show with more at my link! You can see all 168 photo's at MY FOTKI

Very Sweet! Yes, the inspiration shows through! Great job!
  13. Looks great Steve! I like those little WRC cars myself. I've built the Corolla. Chris
  14. That sure is pretty Ismael! Fantastic work. I really like the book and mag idea. Chris
  15. I think it looks pretty good Gregg! It works here now. Chris
  16. Nice looking Scag! Is that the Revell of Germany kit or the Revell USA kit? I built mine in Nero Daytona Black: bowtie--I think I have seen one in red, but unsure of the builder.
  17. Love those trucks! Great graphics and wheels! Makes my Tahoe look, well, plain:
  18. it worked for me this morning. Haven't check it this afternoon. Hold Please.... Yup, still works for me.
  19. Thanks Ismael, some of your tips probably helped me get through faster. Plus I think all day Saturday I had your progress thread opened to catch some views. I needed this to get back into building again. I've got another kit off the shelf and ready to start on tomorrow. I will add that I was able to work on this Porsche from Friday through today ALL DAY each day. Thanks to a dehydrator and CA accelerator, things move along much quicker. Although not as detailed as yours Ismael, I like how it came out. I'm very happy with it. Chris
  20. Thanks Marc! I went with the Plasti-Kote T-237 for primary primer to fix/find any flaws, then topped with two coats of Tamiya primer.
  21. The car is painted Tamiya Pure White. The Wheels are Aoshima Amistad Rotino's 19" with the centers stripped and painted Tamiya Semi-Gloss black. The interior was painted Tamiya Light Sand and flocked with a similar color. The Aoshima wheels needed some work on the back side to fit the Porsche, but that's what the Dremel was for, just took some skinny-ing of the wheel back to fit in the hole. Kit is Fujimi. The thing falls together exactly like a Tamiya kit. More pictures at MY FOTKI of course!
  22. Wow, that's just amazing! Thanks for an in progress shot. My wife does pencil sketches and colored pencil drawings. She too was in awe of your watercolor work. Something she'd like to get more into. Thanks again for sharing.
  23. Try this link I found on fotki: http://public.fotki.com/AKAKustoms/ Their might be something their. Chris
  24. Perfect!
  25. I'm looking at getting a kit of the AMT/ERTL Midnight Express Peterbilt 359. I was wondering if this was a decent kit? Has it been re-issued and if so does it offer the Midnight Express decals? I have a small itch starting for a truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks gents Chris
