  1. Maybe add Pro-Mod and get rid of Pro-"Stock", maybe even go back to their roots and set up some legal drags..........kinda like what is now being done on Street Outlaws........
  2. I've got a couple of the snap General Lee's and one of the 1/16 kits on order and just ordered one of these cute little Tamiya R/C Suzuki Jimny kits.
  3. Would work for a simple single speed cruiser bike though.
  4. Don't get me started on all the rain, when Mom was in the two nursing facilities, I swear that it rained almost every time I went to visit her, if not on the way there, it was on the home................and most of the time, it was POURING! I will say though, those new BFG's do work fantastic in the driving rain!
  5. Those still look better than some of the stuff George Barris has actually built.
  6. Cage the gears like at the sprocket and I can see some advantages to it.
  7. Went to somewhere in the 200 and opened the door to find it like a blast furnace, so I start it to get the A/C pumping........and it was like that had quit...........I then realized that I had turned it off for the drive home last night since it was so nice out.
  8. It might have more to do with the Galaxy's interaction with the site, are you using Firefox for a phone browser too Pete?
  9. Wonder if it's the new forum, our phones, or a bit of both then......
  10. We're safe here here in the Midwest, those rotted away years ago!
  11. I have started having issues with the forum not always being able to keep up with when I go to type out a post on my Galaxy S5 and it can make typing a post more difficult and time consuming.
  12. I think the kid was just green and put on the spot, the car spun over pretty readily, and didn't sound like it wanted to fire, so ignition should have been obvious. That Olds with the boat diesel would probably have to be scrapped or hot rodded at this point.
  13. I've got a retired friend who has already been there not long after the embargo was lifted, and it sounded like he and his wife loved it there.
  14. Anybody actually watched the show yet? I'm not sure what's been more interesting, the efforts taken to keep these cars on the road, or how clear their english is, especially for the "younger" ones.
  15. How about these Joe. 1/25 scale from Brookfield, I bid low on the two of them at the same time. Didn't expect to win both. So I figured I'd resell one. Once I unpacked them and saw the colors I just had to keep both! Got a couple of those two, they're also ZJ Grand Cherokees
  16. Didnt Tamiya do that?I have a. Very similar built up. That was a ZJ Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.2l (318ci) V-8, whi h is an ok kit, but not any better than the 1/20 Lindberg ZJs. They were originally based off the XJ and AMC had plans on making those the replacement for the XJ since they didn't have the ability to build both. With the Chrysler buyout came money to further develop the truck and production capacity to build both. The only major things the two share are the 4.0l and some of the front suspension.
  17. If I post an SUV station wagon...........XJ Cherokee..........PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. http://blackflag.jalopnik.com/two-riders-killed-in-crash-during-motoamerica-race-at-l-1719061045#_ga=1.256580939.1959723140.1424149734 This hasn't been a good few days at all.
  19. This is the first Saturday in nearly 4 MONTHS that I could get off from work, go home, put my feet up in a recliner, and hang out with Mom in our own living room instead of driving 30-80 minutes to sit in typically uncomfortable chairs her hospital or nursing home rooms until visiting hours were over or it was just that late!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Finally got to see the boss' nee truck after it's rolling billboard conversion, guess it was a hit at the HTU owners convention last week http://
  21. Saw a '58 T-Bird on the back of a wrecker the other day while heading to work that appeared to need some rust work. Sadly considering the the same wrecker was pulling a beat up 20+ year old Mercedes sedan, I'm hoping the Bird wasn't on it's last ride.
  22. A very big problem in today's world in my opinion. "Everyone's a winner" is not true no matter how many times it's repeated. What frustrates me isn't so much the "Everybody's a Winner" mentality as it is "My kid can't do this" mentality then saying it in front of the kid to another adult! The kid can't learn how to do something if you don't let them learn in the first place!
  23. Nothing like adding a few more feet to something already the size of a harbor tug.............. I think just the quarters on that car are as long as either my entire XJ Cherokee or 200!
  24. There was a draft up through the early 70's, IIRC, not sure about after that, it was gone when I came of age 20 years ago.
