One big difference, they'll come back in and buy parts to make them quicker, faster, more durable, optimize them for what they're running on, get different shells and paint them, and go right back out and drive the snot out of them.
If you bother to learn what new what new car tail lights look like as you would have back in the "good ol' days", you'll find they aren't too difficult to tell apart......moreso now than in even the recent past.
I've read elsewhere that the '99 Concept Charger will be the basis for the next generation Charger, that there will be a GLH badged Dart, and a Hellcat powered Grand Cherokee, supposedly even a plug in hybrid Minivan!
A really nice Little Red Truck, '67 Camaro SS, and equally nice XK120! Also discover that Nissan made a Flex Fuel Titan until today, one when filling my 200.
I work for the St. Charles HobbyTown, we have a good selection of paints, supplies, tools and kits, some of which are way better than retail priced. We even have a bunch of 1/16 and 1/25 snap General Lee kits!
You don't even need a Mopar with that version of uConnect to have that issue, a you have to be is stupid enough to agree to use something like Progressive's Snapshot or leave a bluetooth OBD2 dongle plugged in 24/7!
I've got a friend who works in a shop that repairs exotics and many european cars when they break, if he won the lotto or somehow came into that kind of money, he'd just restore the ex Michigan State Police Crown Vic he dailys.
Came across one when coming home from Portillo's tonight, lots of emergency equipment then when I got to the wreck, there was some sort of Suzuki sportbike laying on it's side on a 4 lane highway. An ambulance hightailed it from there just before I saw the bike, hopefully that's a good-ish sign for the rider. On a lighter note, I did see a familiar looking guy walking away from a big Bentley vert with TOPDOG 1 on the plates as I was leaving Portillo's drive through, I think it was the man himself!
