  1. The weather has sucked the last couple days, huh?
  2. The front reminds me of the Audi R8, the rest makes me think "Batnan, The Animated Series".
  3. What I don't get is that if he was found to not be at fault enough to be procecuted for this kid's death due having him walk out in front of Stewart's car, how can it that he should be sued for wrongful death when his only crime is being on the track when this kid was.
  4. That Turbine Car is the snap kit Johan had out several years, back, the rep told me they bought the tooling after the chance to came up, sounded the same for the '59 Dodge too. I also suggested to her that if they were to do their own detail kit of the Turbine Car, that I believe Chrysler still has at leas one running car and that I knew Jay Leno has one of the running cars too
  5. I wouldn't worry about slivers, didn't a handful of Japanese and Korean cars have airbags with SPIDER related issues in the last year?
  6. That's cool, I live just a few miles from the motel that Twiggy was supposed tp be waiting for Elwood Blues in the original Blues Brothers and at one time, it was owned by the parents of one of my Sister's childhood friends. I think that the lot that gas station was on isn't too far away either, but all that evidence other than the trees is long gone now.
  7. I didn't think the original movie car used billboards, it was just a straight up triple black 340 Cuda with electrical issues and Cragars.
  8. Showed this to Dad, he even liked it!
  9. Not sure about the Dodge, but that Turbine Car is the more recent Johan offering, apparently they were given the chance to buy that tooling and did! Both of those are on my to buy list now too!
  10. That Mustang is serously nice looking in person!
  11. No wonder I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary about the test shot on display today, that's cool!
  12. Wow, looks fantastic, amost like they took a late 1960's exploritory sketch and brought it up to spec for the 2020's!
  13. Cool, thanks Lee! I was a bit tired and frazzled after work, especially with Mom going back into the hospital and trying to figure out what I needed to bring over to her.
  14. Wait, I must be missing something, was there in fact a wreck, or some idiot just parking across 3 lanes waiting for a turn lane to open, or both.....and as in my question #2 causing question #1 to happen? Sorry, kinda tired and have alot on my mind right now.
  15. Mom is back in the hospital again, as soon as I told one of my new bosses what's going on, she asked if I needed to split and then said if something came up before the end of my shift, to go ahead and take off for the Hospital!
  16. That's exactly how the roof of that old Caddy looked when we put the swingset on the roof and tied it down!
  17. http://news.distractify.com/matt-buco/bad-parking-karma/
  18. Saw a beat up '74 Nova, then a nice '66-'67 Chevelle followed by an equally nice '67-'68 Mustang, all within a mile or so tonight.
  19. It was the same for TRU, buy a Power Wheel and pull up in a Sunfire or Eldorado (not joking on either there), buy a Little Tikes back yard play set and roll up in an Infinity Sedan, buy a couple 50lb bags of playgound sand and sand box then drive a drop top Ferrari to the front door to get the sand (yes, I have see that too?!) And come back with friends car to pick up sand box, tied a full swing set to the roof on an old FWD Seville sedan too. The real surprise was the two couples that came and picked up at least a 1/2 ton (literally at least 1000lbs) and spread it between their minivans. One van was one of the later versions of the old Plastic Chevy Lumina Vans and the other was an early and then still fairly new to the market Windstar Minivan. By the time we got the two vans loaded with about the same weight between the front and rear wheels, the Windstar was practically dragging while the plastic Chevy took the weight like a champ!
  20. Honestly, the ability to get all touchy feely with new products it kinda nice, especially on the R/C side of things, and just seeing in person how the new styrene products look also is kinda nice, both of which you will never get through a computer, tablet, or phone screen. Then there's the chance to talk to the company reps you would normally only talk to on the phone and finally put faces to names. I've met some solidly good industry people that way in years past. On the consumer side of things, there were more and more people showing up every year until the I Hobby people had their little anti-union tantrum and moved the show to Ohio, nearly killing the show in the process. There were a couple years the R/C rock crawling club I was involved in had active displays going (basically, we build obsticals and played with our trucks on them while people watched all weekend long ) and the club president swore we had 120k+ walk past our little corner booth at the far end of the Stephens Center on just that Saturday! People were willing to come out and see and were generally excited during the run up to the convention, still are to some extent even though it's still not going to be what it once was.
  21. Yeah, pretty much.
  22. Used to work for Toys "R" Us, been there, put that on the roof.........
