Australian V8 Super Cars
Joe Handley replied to 935k3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
From the way Darryl Waltrip was talking during his ride around the track, That sounds pretty accurate! He may have needed to scrape his underwear clean by the time they returned to the pits....... LOL! -

Come to think of it, Seeing a Charger mixing it up with the Falcons and Monaros would be pretty freakin' cool! -

Funny you put it that way Rob, a lot of people here who prefer F1 and Rally have that same opinion of NASCAR fans. Bathhurst does sound a bit like Road America though......only the race cars actually resemble what they're supposed to be instead of stickered up jellybeans. -
What can we learn from Steve Jobs?
Joe Handley replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yea, I've read that he wasn't well liked by anybody who delt with him on a work basis and supposedly admits to stealing other peoples ideas, improving them, and then selling them as his own. -

Correct pronunciation of MOEBIUS?
Joe Handley replied to jeffs396's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I always figured Pocher was pronounced poacher kinda like the type of cooked egg or illegal hunting. Tamiya I've heard pronounced Tah-My-Ya, Tuh-My-Ya, and Tammy-Ya, me it's usually "They want what for a curbside?!" -

Not sure myself, I've been pronouncing it Moe-bee-us. -
Got around to starting the putty work on this, a Revell '48 Ford sled, and that '65 Wildcat sled I started a while back too. Productive day off, huh?

Thanks for the info Dave, thought those things looked kinda pointless.

I've only owned relatively small hatchbacks and SUV's Harry and even those would ring my bell in cold weather as the struts aged nd dropped the hatch on my head!

Lol, that reminds me, I need to shave tomorrow! Looks good so far Chuck! -
Only problem I can see is that the hatch would be HEAVY and would need some potent struts to help lift and then hold it up on top of that!

Honestly Dave, ditching those fender things alone clean it up nicely. I may not even change the rims out after that little conversatoon you and Harry had on how clean they looked stock.
