  1. we keep killing the fish..though the last one that died lived about a year... anyway they were in the man cave till all were gone. this guy comes in more often to take over whatever model box lid is open. Thing is he used to fit in the car box lids....as you can see I took up building model trucks for him...lol Gray
  2. I agree with Ken on the lacquer thinner part, I tried for the first time a few years ago with testors colors by boyd enamels and was pleasantly surprised with the results. I have found, though, that for the least "hot" to plastics is pactra's rc paint lacquer thinner, it's a little costlier than the base stuff, but in my experience it works great where others craze the plastic. I've been using it for years and since switching i've yet to etch or craze a body with it. Gray btw, Ken your package will be mailed soon, sorry for the delay
  3. I leave my office today...its raining outside. I put my phone and wallet in a plastic bag, put on my gloves and helmet and prepare to get wet. I walk to the bike, crank it, sit on the wet seat and carefully roll out of the parking lot. Exactly 1/4 of a mile up the road the rain stops and the road is dry.....and stayed dry all 20 miles to home...
  4. yup! I ride with a full face helmet so no goggles yet, but I do keep a zip lock bag handy for my phone and wallet. Speaking of which, might get a little wet on the way home today...lol oh and my bike has no fender hugger, not quite the same as no fender(the seat still comes out over the tire) but that back tire will still soak the mess out of me from behind...way worse than the front... oh and my jacket, boots, and gloves aren't waterproof... 5. nice job dude..these will always be one of my favorite amt/mpc kits of that era..I can't begin to tell you how many I built as a kid..(and working on one now - see avy)
  6. Common occurance for those of us on 2 wheels..lol....I've gotten so used to it I don't mind anymore...lol
  7. moved around my photo albums, plus its time for some new pictures... got it on all fours changed the front hubs, like these better chassis detail shot older pic of engine detailing...its done and much better(prototypical) now the inspiration I've still got some air lines to run on the chassis, but I finished up all the motor detailing that I think I want to do...lol Hopefully soon I can throw some paint at it... Thanks for looking Gray

  9. sorry to hear about this bud, I have a very special fondness for cats...and it's going to be a very bad day for me when my best friend Jag reaches his time. I've had him since he was a little kitten, the last of his brothers and sisters at the flea market, and he has been with me thru all the hell i've been thru over the last 3 years always happy to see me when I get home from work. I would say the best way to help with the loss is to go adopt another one, but looks like you have a few already..lol
  10. anyone in NC been able to find one of these? I've visited several walmarts in Charlotte and I can't find one...I want one!!!
  11. very cool man, very cool
  12. very nice Bob! love the color combo
  13. hey guys...'memba me? Here is the chassis for what was going to be a ups truck....this is too fun to build a simple brown truck..lol this kit started as a dual drive sleeper kit from Hobby Lobby, but I swapped parts and cut the sleeper down to day cab length for this one. just a basic rig, but still i've got a cool paint scheme planned. I'm also converting to the single headlights. This kit is my first attempt at detailing a truck motor and chassis. I've taken a few liberties due to lack of reference material but I think it looks good and that's all that matters I guess...lol this is the paint job that spoke to me and said "build me" my single drive day cab will be joined with a sleeper cap dual drive in the future with the same headlights and paint job, only with a turbo cummins pilfered from elsewhere Thanks guys...paint is coming soon! Gray
