But, Dave. How am I supposed to know where I am?

A couple of us went over to Dave Kindig's shop, Kindig-It Design, for a tour. Very, very impressive! Cleanest working shop I've ever seen. A lot of really cool projects in the works, including another model of their Retro Vette! Their average full-on job takes approximately 2 years from start to finish. They have a 7 year waiting list. A couple of his staff are model builders. Sorry I missed you, Tom, for the Crown Burger run. I think this is the first GSL (of only 3 or 4) that I haven't been in the group lunch with you. Oh well. Maybe next time . . .

Kurt, Amazing. Every time you build a model, I learn new things! Keep on keeping on.

Leaking Zoom interdigitation: isn't that how Jeffrey Toobin lost his CNN gig?

Doppleganger. Looks a hell of a lot like me, so I've been told.

Oh, I knew that. I was just having some fun. The problem with rooftop bars is that it's farther to fall.

Cobraman has a very impressive house! I had no idea.

The one that drives me crazy with its stupid irony and its random [but always at a bad moment] is when the entire touch screen is blanked out by a message that warns that taking one's eyes off the road [to fiddle with the touch screen] can be hazardous. Guess what? Your peripheral vision picks up the sudden and highly visible CHANGE in the touch screen, but you have to LOOK at it to read the message, then you have to LOOK at it to find the little (almost tiny) touch button to click it OFF! Makes perfect sense, doesn't it? Warning! Do not hit bridge abutments or drive off a cliff into the ocean. Click here.

Dale and I took the Kindig-It tour that Friday - last one of the day. Will came through - said his 'hellos' - said he had to get out of there because he had someplace special to go after work. We drove back to the GSL and he arrived shortly behind us! It was mentioned at Kindig's that he was a modeler. That he is! He was really examining a lot of the killer builds! [PS: Nice guy]

Whaaaat? Happy Birthday, my new friend! I always say, it's not the years, it's not even the mileage, it's how you drove (and plan to drive) each mile! Motor on . . .
