    Yard Art

Didn't know if I liked it at first, but as time goes by, it grows on you! Good job!
  2. Barbie Breaking Bad Starter Kit! Way funnier than the law should allow!!!
  3. Very, very nice! And, neat little tip-of-the-hat to Albert in that last pic!
  4. "From Here to Maternity" was not a popular movie in high school.
  5. The Jordan kits were HO scale - marketed for use in the most popular model railroad scale. Question: Did Alvaro call his souped-up version the Krotz Rocket? 😲
  6. Similar concept to a very popular but notorious TV commercial that Discount TIres ran for years . . . An announcer is saying words to the effect that 'If you are dissatisfied with one of our tires, please feel free to bring it back.' The visual running in the background shows a little old lady - appearing much like the little old lady from Pasadena - pitching a tire through a large plate glass window of a Discount Tire store. See it here. * By the way, it first aired in 1975!
  7. Through various careens and means, hooks and crooks, Dumpster diving has become sidewalk surfing in San Francisco.
  8. Wow, Carl. You've got some . . . issues . . . there. [Rest of thought redacted after third reading before posting.]
  9. It depends on the definition of 'is.'
  10. Excellent build! Most excellent creativity! But I think Bob Cruz was an alias for Bob White, a renegade of the first order. He was hired to drive the Mustang by the ringleader of the AZ Ford Dealers, one Wyle E. Kyohtee. They really wanted to run a Roadrunner FC, but they never could catch up with one. It was rumored that AZ Ford Dealers was previously known as the Arizona Car Merchandisers Exchange (ACME).
  11. Brad attended his first GSL last May. He was thrilled to no end by winning two classes with his Carney Wagon and with his Travel Trailer 'Gone Fishing' diorama. He also participated in the Lynx Project by constructing detailing parts (tons of shelving units, etc.) for the garage, warehouse, and Motorworks dioramas. He created the artwork for the Lost Lynx Motorworks shop diorama. Brad was the official art and design director for the Desert Scale Classic for the past 11 years. Our '34 Ford logo is one of his creations. He worked DSC events and served as one of our judges. He was an incredible modeler! His street rods, altereds, gassers, and dioramas were masterpieces. And he was a good friend. RIP, Brad.
  12. Steampunk tongue-in-cheek motor art.
  13. Dave, A kinda funny story about 'mahalo nui loa.' Several years ago I was involved in some fairly regular communications with Gregg. We 'mahalo-ed' each other a handful of times. At one point, he told me, 'mahalo nui loa!' I wasn't going to admit I had no clue what that twist meant, but I looked it up, and returned the respect the next time we spoke. It caught him off guard and he congratulated me on my "fluency." LOL. Then he shared a funny story. Seems most of the public trash receptacles on the island, especially around the beaches and parks, were emblazoned with "Mahalo" on the flaps. Gregg told me many of the haole tourists came to believe the word "Mahalo" meant 'trash.' I guessed the 'nui loa' was reserved for dumpsters . . .
  14. Amen! I've known Gregg since before MCM . . . he's ALWAYS been the hardest working and the hardest charging guy in the room - even despite the agonizing medical issues he's had to battle and defeat.
  15. Illegal. Attaching that accurate adjective to the slang term you used does not legitimize illegal activity.
