  1. No question this is grotesque!
  2. THAT IS UGLY!!! It is scary ugly.
  3. Love that Christine! Great job.
  4. That, too, is nice, Jeff. Are the flames free-form or by stencil/pattern/mask?
  5. Now that's nice!!
  6. Hey, Jeff! That's ... crazy!! Cool.
  7. That's ... uh ... colorful! LOL. Neat build, Jeff.

    Sweet.
  9. Beautiful!
  10. Thank you, Moderator Mark! This was not the place or the time (on Len & Bill's dimes) and their work did not need to tainted or diluted by an incessant rant about the kit.
  11. Boy Howdy, now there's a post dredged up from 'way back. I agree, nice build, Bob, even if you missed the A pillar. Oh, and whilest picking nits, I noticed a tad of reflection from the seat & headrest. Gee, should velour 'shine'? LOL. Seriously, beautiful period ride.
  12. Well, Bart, this is the "wrong" kit for you. But it works for me. I guess I'm just not THAT discriminating. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Don't buy it. I will. Difference is what makes the world go 'round, they say.
  13. 1. Re, Your 1:15am post today: Very well said, Jeff. 2. Quoth Jeff Sauber: "This is where people are supposed to come to relax and spend some free time learning about the hobby, sharing work, and seeing some great models." Hear, hear! Amen! You betcha! Durn tootin'! Right on! 3. In case you haven't noticed, I wholeheartedly concur with Mr. Sauber's comments. 4. This IS the place to escape the traumas and dramas of our stress-filled existences. Escaping to more of the same is not escape. And, this is supposed to be a hobby! Let's keep it stress-free. 5. Besides, looky there! PatRedmond agreeing with Jeff Sauber. Will miracles never cease? Everybody get on board! That alone is worth the price of admission.
  14. I like that desert-sized thermos bottle on the console! What's nitrous?
  15. A thread by any other name ...
  16. That's just plain disgusting. And, yes, I do know what it really is, but it's still disgusting.
  17. Good for you, Will! Well said. Your two cents were actually worth much more!
  18. Yep. That's what it is. I just 'tested' it. I had nothing in the field previously and "Name" did not display. I just went in and added 'Your Full Name Here' in the name field, and now it displays. Mystery solved. I'll submit my bill. Secret Agent Dan
  19. Perhaps it does not display if there is nothing entered in the field. Just a guess.
  20. I like that! Too funny.
  21. Simple solution to the whole thing: the issue currently on the racks is the "May/June" issue ... in July. Figure in about 30 days, the next issue hits the stands & the mail ... in August. Call it the "September/October" issue and then everybody'll quit bellyaching because it's out before the calendar. Then 30 days later, the "November/December" issue in September. Then 30 days later the "January/February" issue in October. And so on. By this time next year, the issues will be a good year or two early. (Oh wait. That's what the rest of the magazine industry has been doing for years.) No July issue? Price of success. The month on the cover is all semantics anyway. The latest issue is the latest issue no matter what you call it. On another, dissimilar note, I sent in a 2-year Car & Driver subscription order/payment. Two months later, I got a warning notification hyping me to hurry and renew because my sub would be ending soon ... in just 22 months! Yikes, what a racket! I kinda like the quirky, eccentric island approach.
  22. See! That's why the Big Kahuna lets you run this place, huh!
  23. Agreed. And, Chris: Thanks for the perspective. There are more important issues. Good luck to you, Godspeed and God Bless; that's a lot for you and yours to be carrying. I hope all works out well for you; best wishes!
  24. Personally, I think it's enough if the poster's true full name appears either in the profile at left or in the signature; either way, it's there for reference in every post. And I don't have a problem with the name identification requirement; if non-disclosure is that important, then elect to not participate in the forum, it's that simple. It's a personal choice, just like any other. If it's that significant a concern to you, then you just have to forego some of the things you might otherwise be able to enjoy. Bottom line; it's Gregg's forum and that is one of the things you have to do to play in his forum. Ya don't wanna, ya don't hafta.
