  1. You have rogue spyware. Save your money and download Superantispyware from www.superantispyware.com. It will remove the rogue spyware and you can use the money you save on models!!!
  2. I doubt you are picking them up from a particular website. I've had two PC's infected with "rogue spyware" that is a form of Trojan. You need to get a good spyware/malware package like Superantispyware from www.superantispyware.com and run it once a week or so. Antivirus software will not pick up any type of spyware/malware. Good luck!
  3. Finished the interior tonight. Dash and steering column from an AMT 1961 Ranchero parts kit replaced the glue damaged originals. Scale Dreams (thanks Rick ) supplied the Recaro seats. I removed the headrests before painting. This will be the last update before completion. Enjoy...I have!!!
  4. Send him an email with your phone number and he'll call you.
  5. Chris, Contact him via email at ReliableResin@aol.com. Marc
  6. Really diggin' that Mustang! Is it the MPC or AMT version?
  7. Nothing really special with the interior. I had to cut out the stock front seats and floor because of extensive glue damage. I found the interior tub in the AMT 1969 Chevelle had nearly the same drive tunnel profile, so I cut the floor from one and used it in the Falcon. This mod allowed the use of custom front seats. These are some resin Recaros from Scale Dreams dot com with the headrest removed. They still need to be painted. The paint is Tamiya white primer, Tamiya TS-45 Bright Red with an overcoat of Testors Dullcote. I applied BMF to the side panel trim and used a silver paint pen to detail the window cranks. Flocking is red Testors Model Master applied with Testors Acryl flat clear. I made a pattern of the instrument cluster with Tamiya masking tape which was transferred to BMF and applied. Thinned Tamiya flat black acrylic was washed into the cluster which was detailed with a white pencil. I'm still searching for the "perfect" steering wheel. Enjoy!!!
  8. I will later this week when I post pics of the finished interior.
  9. Thanks for all the positive feedback. I'm having more fun with this one than I've had in awhile, probably because it is a curbside. Look for more curbsides from me in the future.
  10. Thanks for the feedback, even if you don't like my choice of wheels. I'm almost 50, but I've somehow managed to keep current with automotive trends. I'm sure someday my models will look rather silly. I helped a buddy liquidate a large portion of his collection this year and he paid me in models. Besides a number of unbuilt kits and resins, I got this Falcon, a 1961 Comet, 1962 Mercury Meteor, 1963 Chevy II and a 1963 Pontiac Tempest. All were builders, some nicer than others. The Meteor is the worst of the bunch, but still salvagable. All the chrome on the others is being prepped to go to Chrometech USA for replating, so hopefully I can build one of the others later this year.
  11. Technically, I started this one just before Christmas 2009. It is a vintage AMT 1962 Ford Falcon Futura. A friend gave it and a couple of other vintage AMT annuals to me this past summer. It was originally brush painted with Testors Red and the interior with Testors Silver. It was a glue bomb as evidenced by the glue in the corners of the interior tub. I cut out the front seat and floor and replaced the floor with one from an AMT 1969 Chevelle interior. I purchased new chrome from The Modelhaus for it. It is a curbside build with big and little Pegasus wheels using Revell tuner tires on the front. I filled the holes for the fender ornaments and filed down the corresponding peaks from the fender tops. Removed all chrome except for the hood "V" and the Futura side trim. Paint is Tamiya TS-14 Gloss Black with TS-13 Clear. Interior is Tamiya TS-45 Bright Red with Testors Dullcote. It's a quickie build to get the creative juices flowing again. Should be finished this week. Enjoy!
  12. Here's one I just did tonight on a 1962 Ford Falcon grille. Used Tamiya flat black acrylic thinned with Tamiya acrylic thinner.
  13. Not all resin casters are master makers. I'm sure any number of casters would be more than happy to put that grille in rubber if someone can master it. I've seen the one that someone on another forum made but I don't think he is interested in sharing his work with the rest of the community. He also mastered flares, wheels, etc for a Volare Super Coupe!!! Someone step up and do a '73-74 Dart Sport conversion...front and rear.
  14. Go to the pharmacy section of Walmart and buy several bottles of 91% isopropol alcohol and a small tub to pour it into. Tamiya sprays are LACQUER, not enamel. Pine Sol will not work either. The alcohol should remove the Tamiya spray paint in a few hours. Be sure to keep the tub covered as the 91% is extremely flammable.
  15. Gregg, Thanks for the new forum format. A great Christmas present that will allow Model Cars Magazine to remain as the leader in online model car sites.
  16. My Christmas haul? How about 2 inches of sleet, 8 inches of show, 50mph winds and 2 foot snow drifts! We had a blizzard in Oklahoma. I've been digging out for 90 minutes and as soon as I thaw from the single digit wind chills and blowing snow, I'll be going back out to dig some more and take some pics. We still haven't opened any presents yet.
  17. Don't be angry. Based upon their history, yours will be better than the Trumpeter versions.
  18. Most, if not all Duplicolor auto spray paints require a clear coat. Get some white plastic spoons and test before you do anything else to your model.
  19. Don't know where you live, Joe, but if it is cold it will work much better inside where it is warmer. If that does not work, you will need to try one of the other proven paint removal methods like Easy Off Oven Cleaner, Testors/Polly S Easy Lift Off, or 91% isopropol alcohol. The purple stuff does not work on lacquer or Tamiya and Testors acrylics.
  20. It does work better when it is room temperature. Also, it tends to lose its effectiveness after awhile. For $5 a bottle, I'll strip a few models, pour it down the drain, and get a fresh bottle.
  21. That '57 looks freakin' awesome. The photoetch is just what the Doctor ordered. Marc
  22. Got an AMT 1966 Ford Fairlane annual builder and from Jimmy Flintstone, a resin 1970 Javelin Trans Am body and their new 1972 Pontiac Ventura kit.
  23. Click on the "add reply" button, just like I did to reply to this one.
