  1. Unreal detail, I wish I could see stuff that small let alone build it.
  2. that's a good one
  3. I was thinking more like.
  4. Most did switch to solid rear axles. I do remember going to a friend of my dads back then and he was remaking a Vette rear end. He had put a Dana 60 center section and super big half shafts in it but it was still independent. I was only about 12 so I do not remember if it was to keep in the rules or why he went to so much trouble.
  5. How did I miss this. This is outstanding, a lot of new good ideas on scratch building parts. Thanks for sharing this with us.
  6. Hey Romell, I know this is a real dumb question put since seeing you cut the sharpie in half it has been bugging me. Did ink go all over the place when you cut through ?
  7. Romell the straps you made for the tanks look top notch. I sell aluminum tanks close to yours but have never been able to come up with a good mounting strap. If you do not mind me asking how were those straps made. Thanks for your time posting all the picture of this build it is a lot of fun to watch.
  8. Hey that is looking good. I am not sure if they all were this way but the A-C cylinders on my motor do not have any cooling fins just the heads do. It would be faster to make that way. Watching this build makes me want to build a model of my old car.
  9. Wouldn't it be 7.1875"
  10. That is outstanding I could look at the photos of it hour an hour and still not be bored. Thanks for sharing this with us car guys.
  11. Your doing a great job, I love old stock cars.
  12. That is cool, I can't wait to see this build.
  13. Ken What are you planing on building an 1/8 scale midget?
  14. Here is the picture of my altered the first time out.
  15. just the wheels should be fine, thanks
  16. Send Me the one front and one rear from the kit and I'll get on it.
  17. The measurements are case 11" tall 14" tall at the flywheel 8" wide from out side of cylinders 16.5" wide out side of heads 27" wide overall 32" wide front to back w/pully 15" head front to back 11" This is the aluminum case, Auto-Craft cylinders and and the A-C heads that take the stock valve covers. If you need any more dimensions just let me know. Gregg You will have to wait until my wife gets home to show me how to use the new scanner before I can post a picture. I sold the car to a man in Michigan and he sold it to a guy in Hawaii so you may have seen it. It is black with the vw motor, power glide trans, and 8 3/4 rear end with weld drag lights. The motor is turbo charged, fuel injected alcohol.
  18. That's beautiful! I really like the way you did the grill and trim ring. You must have a steady hand to be able to paint the Ford in the F 100 caps so nice. As always an outstanding build.
  19. I have an Auto-craft on the work bench we ran in an altered. I will measure it tomorrow and post them.
  20. Hey Gregg, What do you think of wheels something like these?
  21. My website is www.micronitro.net I am in Quincy about an hour south west of Indy.
  22. I make some aluminum slots, they are a little high priced though.
  23. We need to make some custom wheels for this one. Maybe black centers and polished rims. What do you think?
  24. This is sure bringing back memory's. If I could type faster I have a hundred stores from when I worked at a Clark station. We had a cigarette rack left of the door with a floor safe under it and candy bars to the right of the door. Keep up the great work this is a very fun build for me to watch.
