  1. I finally got it out far enough to grab it with my small pliers. Chassis wasn't glued. There was a lot of built up styrene dust in the threads on both screws. They may have been in there for around 50 years. That probably didn't have anything to do with 'em being stripped, though. LoL
  2. just a bit curious to find out how you guys get these screws out, when they seem to be stripped. I finally got one out, but the other one is just spinning in the hole!! LOL i know of a couple methods, but those would require the use of a claw hammer, or a pair of vice grips. This '68 Coronet gluebomb is too delicate for that!
  3. Somehow, I knew this was coming! Off to a great start on the gauges!
  4. I got these in over the past few days: MPC 1968 DODGE Coronet convertible: The only thing missing, other than the windshield frame and 'glass', is the hood. Jo-Han 1964 Chrysler 300 convertible: The windshield post wasn't broken in the listing pics on eBay, but when I took it out of the box, this is what I found. seller was kind enough to give a partial refund. I also got this nice promo: 1957 OLDS 98: This sink mark is the worst thing about it:
  5. I got in two of my "Holy Grail" projects. Jo-Han 1964 Chrysler 300 convertible: MPC 1968 DODGE Coronet convertible: Both need work, and have missing parts, but I've been after these for many moons!!
  6. Well...I was on the Hillman Minx/Husky line of cars. Never thought about the Vauxhall.
  7. WOW! It appears that I was way off!!
  8. Well...I had been on a pretty good roll, lately, but I have a feeling it's about to come to a halt! LoL I thought I had an idea about this one, but I'm not finding anything close. Hahaha
  9. We enjoyed every second of it, too!
  10. Great to see this!! I've been after one of these kits since 1998!
  11. Meanwhile, at George's
  12. I have a few MPC Dodge pickup kits that I'll mix and match for a couple complete builds. I recently grabbed an AMT '67 Impala kit in order to build the incomplete AMT '69 Impala kit in the stash.
  13. I just scored one of my many holy grail kits off eBay. When it arrives, I'll post the pics. It's a rebuilder, and not 100% complete, and I probably paid too much, but I've been trying to get one for something like 20 years! Stay tuned, Earthlings!!
  14. Over the past couple days, I "watched" a 1971 Dodge Demon built-up get parted out. Every piece sold, and the total, before shipping was somewhere around $160.00. I didn't check to see if the same bidder got all the parts, but there were several bidders involved.

    66 Impala

Nice and tidy! Looks like one that ran the streets around here a few years ago. This is a top shelf build!

    1969 cuda

You made a great save on the Cuda, Michelle! I like the orange color very much!
  17. Extremely nice Plymouth! Where did you get the boot cover?
  18. I just checked out those pics. Gorgeous Poncho!! Is that the factory placement for the side view mirror?
  19. I don't see a problem with mentioning another site. I've been around here for a long time, and I started a ProBoards forum back in 2011. It will never be as large as this one, and I don't consider it as competition. I even have a section where members can post links to other forums. There are a few members here that are members of my forum, as well. You never know where you'll find that one tip that will help you become a better modeler.
  20. That's a gorgeous piece of eye candy! Color combination is perfect, in my opinion! Looking forward to the completed pics!
  21. WOW!! I'm already a member of six or seven PB forums!! LoL
  22. You got it going on, brother!
  23. Very nice work! Colors are great, and the woodgrain really compliments the orange!!
  24. Wow, Snake! That Imp came out gorgeous!!
