    62 Belair

Fabulous BelAir! I don't remember ever seeing a real one look this nice! The paint is beautiful!
  2. Thanks, Patric! This trade was good on my end, as well! Another + sign beside your name!!
  3. Fantastic job on this 'baker!! I like everything about it.
  4. I recently repaired a clear window piece by going through the polishing process much the same as polishing a paint job. I started with a coarse enough grit to remove the scratches, then moved on through the grits until I had it looking clear.
  5. As far as building 'em Out-Of-The-Box, I thought the pre-painted Polar Lights '64 GTO and '65 Coronet kits were mainly trouble-free, and I only added a little detail paint here and there. Another pretty good one to build is AMT's '58 Edsel kit. Not much fuss with that one.
  6. M.A.D. is my preferred distributor. I have about three dozen in the stash, and nearly that many on built models!! Different color caps, and different color wires. many combinations to choose from.
  7. I agree with those guys!
  8. That turned out mighty nice! Imperials look great in blue! Well done on this one!
  9. Great save!!
  10. For the "wind-in-the-hair" fan in me, I'd like to see a '68 Chevelle convertible kit before they get through with the tooling. A '69 Baldwin-Motion would be a welcome sight, also.
  11. Absolutely great technique, and a very clear tutorial! Thanks for posting this. It certainly will help me!
  12. Nice one! I built a Lark convertible a few years back. I'll follow along on this project. I haven't seen many of the hardtops.
  13. Is that called, "Engineering on the fly"? Okay...I'll get me 'at and coat!
  14. The only part I like are the Imperial style taillights on the fins!
  15. Or replace those parts with some from another car.
  16. And don't forget the swirl lines in the molded in metallic.
  17. Yep...couldn't use it as a getaway car and then ditch it.
  18. And put the taillights in upside down!
  19. Big brudder is watching you!
  20. That is super cool!! Very well done, bright, and shiny! What green paint did you put on there? I like the metallic in it.
  21. I use brass wire for mine. it measures .030".
  22. Piping looks good! What did you use for that?
  23. Gorgeous trim work. Makes the paint color look even richer.
  24. That looks very nice! I like those horns!
