  1. Looks good, I'd like to know how you straightened the trailer parts, I have one from 30 years ago and the panels were warped when new. BTW, you need to look after that White, looks like she's runnin' a bit rich!
  2. Thanks, I like the first unit truck from the movie and the tanks are a big part of the look. I'm also changing the look of the air filter to be closer to the original. I think I'll also pass on the "kit" mirror brackets and do my own like I did for the Autocar mixer a few years back. I still need to get a good color for the bull bar, looks like a gray/white/silver but seems to change with every scene!
  3. Fuel tanks are mostly done, working on the steps. I used a plastic rod, Auslowe tank straps and mounts. I've also done custom brackets for the air deflector The chassis is close to done, need mudflaps and to mount the tanks. Cab and sleeper are in color, decals next once the paint sets up.
  4. Looks good. Glad I could provide the inspiration.
  5. Auslowe has pics of their 903 both turbo and non-turbo: https://www.auslowe.com.au/shop/category/engine-kits/370
  6. You did a fine job!
  7. Looks great, nice job!
  8. Very well done. Something odd about an OD firetruck........
  9. Excellent work. Did you do the mirror brackets from scratch?
  10. I'd go with the 0.010, thin. Back in the day, those interiors had to be thin for weight and it wasn't uncommon to see indents where they were attached to the ribs. Most were covered with shag rug anyway and with blacklights etc no one cared.
  11. Very well done. How did you get the windshield gasket line so clean? (Where it meets the body color)
  12. Umm, I'll just echo all the comments so far. I'm just amazed......and speechless.......
  13. I wasn't really aware of the Paystar 5000 width during my Brockway build until after I had the front tires mounted and went to set the cab. I took the quick way out and added rubber fender flare extensions. If I had caught it earlier, I could have altered the inside of the wheels to bring them in a little tighter. I don't recall a problem with the Ertl Int 25XX kit but I'll have to take a look at it.
  14. Looking for a source for photo etched mirrors, typical west coast style for big rigs. Thanks
  15. Bumping this one back up as work has resumed. I've been chair-bound with a nasty cold and watched Convoy, so that renewed my interest in a build that had stalled. Shot some primer this afternoon, need to start looking at all the parts again and figure out a new game plan.
