Hi Guys. You can get The louvered hood that he talks about at modelhaus I got one because I to am looking to do a hard top.The hood is just a bit short on the sides but a small pice of plastic stripping from evergreen will fix it right up it,s a nice hood with the imprint on the underside.I is realy for the old Johan kits to make them a 71 or 72 they also have the chrome.I was going to do the roof thing but if Missing link is doing it I will wate for them I have got a lot of there kits and they are A-1.Rick. -

Hi I doent know if this helps you but take a look at (Time Machine Resin) I have gotten 12 or 14 kits from him he has a great product and he is a very nice guy to deal with.He has a 76 short bed open SSII scout for $40.00 and you use the new AMT kit for the doner. You will still have to do some body work but it may get you a bit closer to what your looking for good luck Rick. -
Tom Coolidge 50 Pontiac
rickcaps55 replied to tabsscale1's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Hi I got one from Tom last July it is a very nice promo kit and the chrome was very nice. But when I emailed him back to get one more at that time he told me I got the last one he had and the mold was no longer useable. -
Ok if your looking for the Dart swinger hard top the big difference is in the back end.I am 59 and I had a 74 swinger in the mid 70,s I wanted to do one in a model. The front is the same with the 73/74 can,t tell them apart. But the back looks like the 65 GTO it has the taillights rap around the corrner. In fact I got 2 of the Bandit resin trans kits and thats a good place to start. You will have to use the front clip from the 76 Duster and the 73/74 grill and bumper from modelhaus. You can use the rear bumber and taillights from the AMT 65 GTO with a little work. The 73 Dart had the same bumper and the scamp but it had one hole for the taillight and the Dart had two holes in the bumper for two squar lights.Again good luck.
-
Hi thats true but the big thing is the taillights. The MCW body has the right opnning and the chrome bezel and red lenze is a modelhouse item so is the right hood. But again it,s not perfect but real close.
-
Hi I am a big Dart fan to.The 73/74 Darts are very close. If your looking to bild the fastback thats the one,s I did I got the body from MCW it,s very close to total stock and got the chrome from Modelhaus and used the AMT 76 Plymouth Duster kit for a doner to finish it.It,s not perfect but dam close good luck.Rick.

Yep I to have to add to this.I have been getting resin and plastic kits and HOC paints from him for over 6 years not a problem at all and yep he is a great guy to deal with.
-
Jimmy Flintstone has the bubbel top body for this kit for $10.00 i have one it fits like a glove.
-
Hi I just had to add I got the parts today I ordered from Alan and Damm he does nice work very nice any one looking to get parts from him will be very happy.Rick.;
-
Hi I just want to add if you want R&R resin kits the only place to go is Steve at Star models.I have got kits from him for the last 9 years and it is as problem free as you can get.Ya some of the kits need lots of work but we are modelers and that should not be a problem and all his kits have the chrome and glass and Steve is a great guy to work with. Thanks Rick.
-
Ya Jeff that,s great I will order one love the old ford,sRick.
-
Very nice I am an old Mustang fan I am 58 and have had 8 thrugh the years in fact I am doing a 67 GT convertible I hope to have done by July this year it goes to the body shop in 5 weeks.I did not see any pics of the back.AMT filled in the tail panal and you have to paint the lights in.Missing Link Resin makes the org/tail pannal with the opening for the lights and he gives you the red plastic lights so it looks like the org.I got a couple of sets there nice. Thanks Rick.
-
Ya it,s for real Jack at modelroundup has had it on the preorder list and page for 5 weeks now and i called him to comfrim it i have 2 on preorder now it,s real and a long time comming.
-
Ya I got screwed out of $230.00 been watting 4 years for my things to show up guss there not comming.Anyway you will like the kits Dave has at MCW he also has all the factory colors to.Also check out Star models he has resin kits from 4 casters he has a big line up and Missinglink Keven has a lot of new kits of things you have not seen in a lot of years and Moter city castors Jeff has a lot of great For kits that are hard to find. All of these resin castors are on this site and are great to deal with.I have a org AMT 3-in-1 65 fairlane kit that I got 3 years ago at a model show I paied $160.00 for it I just could not bring myself to build it so when Dave came out with the 65 resin kit I got 3 of them and put the other one away.I went to modelhaus for the chrome and glass they make the org for all the AMT kits.Daves chrome is not plated.Good luck on the kit.
-
Hi MCW has great kits and I have been getting kits from Dave for alot of years now he is very good to deal with and he ships in 3 to 4 weeks. You can send him a check or use a credit card I use both go to his site and download his order page and fill it out its easy and safe.A side note stay away from the afx/n site me and others got burned there. But MCW go for it you will be very happy with his kits.Rick.
