  1. Hi I like the roof on the 64/65 to but that roof was on the 66 listed as the hardtop. The roof that was used on the AMT models was the new Town Landua Roof it was new and made the kit a little deferent from the 64/65 that roof lead to the first 4 door T-Bird in 67 if you go to (the old car manual project site) I use them for a lot of stock builds you can see the ford sales books. You can use a roof from the 64 or 65 on the 66 if you like that roof that's with I did. I'm 62 and had a 66 with the slant cut roof for a year in 69 when it got totaled by a snow plow here in Chicago.
  2. Hi I would like to add I have been using him for 8 years now and I have never had a problem he has great prices and his turn around time is good he even has a deal if you really need it fast there is a adder of 25%for expediting. I'm getting a new order ready right now for him.
  3. Hi Bob I think he got the mags from the Rev 65 Chevelle kit and they are also in the Linberg 66 Chevelle kit I am doing the 69 XL-GT and I got the mags from those kits. Rick.
  4. Hi go to Modelhaus he has vacuume form glass for just about every model ever made I use them all time for glass and parts great place to work with I have been using them foe over 12 years.
  5. It's very nice I have 2 of them. The new AMT 66 Nova has the bench seat in it again with both kit's you can do a nice build.! Good luck.
  6. Hi you can get the repop of the AMT 1/25 GT grill from modelhause he has it in resin and it is chrome plated. This is the grill with the fog lamps and the one with out the lamps is in the AMT kit that is out now or you can get it from him. I have gotten parts from Don for over 10 years and you will not be disappointed but do to how many people that buy from him you will have to wate the 4 to 6 weeks but it is worth it. Good luck..Rick.
  7. Hi for the snap trim you can go with small evergreen plastic strips you will have to go to a hobby shop for them and look at the deferent sizes and as for the boot I got my boot from modelhaus I used the 66 boot it's the same in the models and real cars. Funny thing about that snap strip when I was restoring my 67 I could not find that trim any were no one make a repop of it I was ready to burn the car but I found a guy in Texas called Mustang Mike he showed how in an you tube video that the trim was the same used from 64-1/2 through 68 the only thing is you had to use the 66 boot because the snaps were in a deferent spot so I did and it worked perfect and no one can tell the deference. Good luck.
  8. Hi good luck it will be much easier plus with the 67 the trim around the trunk and the taillights is deferent between the fastback and coup/vert. I just remembered I send Jeff pictures of my car so he could see how to do the rear dog legs. I have not cut the top off my kit yet I holding out to see if he does the vert. LOL! good luck you will like his kits I have a couple of his and I have a couple of the 68 coupes that Kevin at Missinglink makes both nice kits. Now that is a kit I would like to see someone come out with in a nice 3-in-1 like the old days.
  9. Hi that looks like the MCW kit from Dave Dodge I have that kit and his 66 and 68 Biscany the kits really are very good but the tubs are hard to work with the resin is a little thick and you have to do a lot of fitting to get it to mate to the plastic frame. I at the point were I may do the same thing as you and use the plastic tub and modifie it. Good luck nice color it's looks good I will follow this one.
  10. Hi I am doing a 67 Mustang GT convertible to match my 1-1 car. I got the 67 resin hard top from (motercityresin.com) Jeff makes a great hard top. I got the boot from modelhause and the doner kit is the AMT 67 fastback. Maybe we can talk Jeff into doing a convertible for us.
  11. It's a great kit I have almost 70% of the kits Missinglink and motor city resin put out. when you open it up you think it's a plastic kit and both of them chrome the parts that need to be chromed. You can't go wrong.!!
  12. Yep that was a AFX/Scale resin kit I have one in fact I just set it out to be chromed I got it from them 7 years ago be for they went under with there web site.
  13. Hi I have both the 65 and the 64 Cutlass kit's from R&R. I used the AMT 65 GTO as the doner for both the guts are the same GM used that platform for a lot of the mid 60's mid size cars and the glass all fits to. I got the better looking chrome from modelhause and they also have the glass if you can't get a doner. I also have one of the bandit kits it is a great looking cast he also listed the AMT GTO as the doner. good luck. Rick.
  14. The Modelhause Bezel and lens will fit any and all AMT 65 ford Galaxies the box maybe deferent but the model is the same from the first I do the same I like the 2 piece set up I have no idea why they did that. They also did to the 65 rev and a couple others but modelhause has the fix.
  15. Cool thanks I hope they do this kit can be built in so may ways the convertible would be a great build I am doing a drag strip one now thanks.
  16. Hi is there any resin guys out there doing or going to do a Convertible trans kit for the new Rev 90 Mustang coup.?
  17. I I have the same kit that I am working on I got the chrome parts from Modelhaus he has the AMT parts and that's what the MCW kit is made from. and he moldes his taillights in and I wanted the clear red. You will have to cut the taillight bezel down because the one from modelhaus id the Impala and that goes around the side but it can be done. The rest of the kit I did use the REV 65 Chevy because when I got that one the 66 was not out yet. Good luck Rick.
  18. Hi all of the Modelhaus replacement parts for the AMT kits are the first run. Over the years for some reason AMT has taken some kits and filled in the tail lights I have replaced a lot of them this 69 you did is one the 65 Riviera is one and the 65 Ford Galaxie the 67 farlane has a two piece also and there is a couple of more it has come to the point I get the kit check out the bumper and lights and place an order with modelhause it does make it look so much better.
  19. Man O man you have got to sent this to a resin guy so we have a chance to get in on this I would love to have that in a kit from.
  20. Hi try Jeff at motor city resin for the body if it's an AMT or MPC you can get the full bumper as a full unit that is bumper grill and parking lites chromed or the bumper grill and parking lites as pieces and chromed from modelhaus that my be less. Check with jeff I know he does have his tiems chromed to both Jeff or modelhaus will do a great job I have got a lot of items from both and I'm very happy with them. Good luck.
  21. Hi looking good the sidelights came out great. I'm not shure if you know but modelhause has all replacement parts for the 70 Charger there the old amt/mpc parts but they are 1/25 so they do fit it may save you time on trying to make them.
  22. Hi I have restored both of them a couple of years ago. You can get every thing you need to bring them back to Org using parts from modelhause them have all the chrome and all the insides and the glass it's all AMT repops. They are to of the best Fairlane's it's worth getting the right parts. I have seen complete kits out there going for any were from $125.00 to as much as $350.00. I have one of each in an untouched kit that I got lucky on abut 12 years ago at a side walk sale in a small town when I was on a vacation I payed $10.00 each all I do is look at them I still can't bring my self to building them.
  23. Hi try Kevin at missinglinkresin and also check modelhause. they both have lot's of wheels and caps I have found 90% of what I was looking for through them. Good luck Rick.
  24. :rolleyes:Hi me again let me correct the site it's (spotlighthobbies.com) and he has 2 of the old Johan kits one is $52 the other is $63 the deference is in has the worng string wheel. But both kits are in great shape.
