  1. Awesome the color and the wheels just fit nice build.!!!!
  2. "WOW" Dammmmmmm! Between the photos and the build it is hard to tell it from a real car awesome.!!!!
  3. Modelhause has the best Red lines all the tires they make are soft and the white or red lines come out to be painted. They have the same tires showen on the Charger in both red and white wall they are the same tire that was put in to the MPC and AMT kit's back in the 60's and 70's I keep a supply of both on hand. I just got a couple of packs of the new AMT red lines and I have to say they are nice and the fact that they are hollow make them work wit the new Rev kits they fit the 67 Camaro wheels very nice just like the AMT white letters tires.
  4. :DI would like the 74 Cougar XR7 I had one back in 74 great car. and I would like the 67 Olds Delmont 88 my dad had one of those I would get 2 of each.
  5. Hi I see were your trying to go with this but if you send them out to be plated the parts are cleaned very good by the guy doing the chrome so any masking will be cleaned off. I strip my parts drill out the lights and some times the grill clean them up and have them chromed when I get them back it's just a matter of gluing in the lights and putting the clear plastic on them.
  6. I'm so sorry for your loss my hart go's out to your family.
  7. It looks great awesome top of the line just get it out.!!!!!!
  8. Hi Modelhause has the taillight panel and red taillights you need for the JoHon kit I did the same thing.
  9. :angry:Unclescott58 you took the words out of my mouth.! Dam lets get the kit's out. First of all we our modeler's if you have been building for any number of years you can make them look good no matter what.! I'm 62 and have been building model cars for 52 years the AMT 62 Fairlane 3-in-1 was my first car and I have never stopped and soon my grandson will be doing it. Models are toys they are not perfect nor have they ever ben perfect nor will they ever be perfect.! 90% of the people that have looked at any model that I have built can not tell if there is anything not right with it. They look tell you nice and move on so let's move on get these new kit's out befor most of the model builders are to Dam old to build them IT"S A TOY.!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome I love that show I watch the reruns all the time you did a great job love it.!!!!!
  12. Awesome it came out great I am a big fan of the Comet's and the 64 and 66 are two of the big one's on my list. I have the 64 and just got a AMT org kit on the 66 at a privet sale the kit is like new all the parts are still on the tree's I got for a steel $35.00 I have seen them for 3 or 4 times that on ebay and other model sites that handel old kit's.
  13. That's great I never thought about using the 64 fairlane roof I'm not big on the Ranchero but love the Falcon. How about the roof from the 64 Comet That maybe more like the 63 Falcon roof I have both body's I think I going to take a hard look at the Comet roof very nice keep this build up dated.
  14. Hi first this is a great build very nice. I am doing 2 of them I got my hand's on 3 of the Hasegawa kit's last year at a block sale I got all 3 for $6.00 had to do it. The 66 has always been one of my top 10 cars. I have no idea how they did what they did but it's not 1/24 or 1/25 it is some were in between. I am using the AMT 65 for the chases and motor and inside tub. I went to modelhause for the 66 hood and the chrome. When you cut out the hood the AMT 66 hood fit's like a glove and that's 1/25 the chrome the taillights bezel fits like a glove the rear bumper also fits great but when you get to the chrome for the grill it has to be trimed or use the kit grill and the AMT front bumper and head lights are to wide the head lights just make it and the bumper ends leave a gape between the fender and the bumper so you have to use the kit chrome for the front. The inside tub fits good when you add a small stripe a long the side to fill in the gap and the chases fits great to. So it's no big deal to a modeler but I would love to know how they did it.! All in All it is still a good way to add a 66 to your line up.
  15. Nice project. I have a like new org AMT kit that I also have been toying with and a great resin kit by Missinglink resin both are hard tops and I'm thinking of cutting the roof off of one of them. Take a look at the Revel 65 Impala convertible kit I think that is the same frame work GM used on most of it full sized cars I'm going with that to replace the front windshield. Good luck with your project I will be watching this one close.
  16. :DAwesome build the color is right on and the Dog dish caps perfect it just fits nice !!!!!!!
  17. Ok my air brush is all warmed up the paint is ready and my money is out.! When O When will we see it.!
  18. Hi I use the Spaz in the spray cans. I like it to me it's a litter better then the Alclad but you have to totally strip the old plastis and clean it then I use a coat of flat black then 2 coats of the Model Master High gloss Black then the Spaz I have always gotten very good looking chrome. I have brushed it on very small parts but it really has to be sprayed on. I have an air brush but to tell you the truth I like the spray can's.
  19. Bring it on !!! Been looking for this one for a long time..! Would like to see the 200 in line 6 as an option to.!
  20. Hi MCW has the in-line-6 it's really nice I just got 4 of them I'm doing a 67 and 69 with the 6. He also has a nice Ford 200 inline-6.
  21. Hi Bob if you want the 68 Chevy Bel air MCW has the biscane I have one it's a nice resin kit and it can be made into a Bel air very easily.
  22. It's awesome your detail is great I really love the detail you did no the grill with the chrome bars and the taillights. Very nice.!
  23. I have got to tell you guys reading all the post on this get over it ! It's a model a toy it's a fricken hobby when people come into your home and look at your work 99.9.9.9.9.9.9 % of them will look at you and it and say nice them have not a clue if it's right or not. It's been years that we have seen a model on a 61 let's get it in the stores and let's build them. There is a lot of people that need to get a life it's a toy.!!!!!! Build them be HAPPY.!!!!!!
  24. This is a great kit I have one. When I open the box it looked like it was made out of plastic the resin that Kevin uses is great stuff it's not thick like a lot of the resin out there and it is very clean when you get it no flack or holes. This is a great kit.
  25. Hi I like the roof on the 64/65 to but that roof was on the 66 listed as the hardtop. The roof that was used on the AMT models was the new Town Landua Roof it was new and made the kit a little deferent from the 64/65 that roof lead to the first 4 door T-Bird in 67 if you go to (the old car manual project site) I use them for a lot of stock builds you can see the ford sales books. You can use a roof from the 64 or 65 on the 66 if you like that roof that's with I did. I'm 62 and had a 66 with the slant cut roof for a year in 69 when it got totaled by a snow plow here in Chicago.
