Ho added note DO NOT use it in sun light the sun is almost all UV Light it will harden right now.!!!
-
I have been using that UV-glue for over a year now it's great it go's under many names I get under the name of 5 sec bond it's at almost every store I get it on Amazon they have 20 pages of it it's all the same just pick the lowest price one and they even have the refills I also now get that chrome pen there to also much less then other places both the UV-glue and the chrome pen have made modeling much more easy to work with and the UV-glue works very well with all resin I love it when your putting the chrome on it will not leave any haze and you can move it around till your in the right spot and then zap it I hold it for 20 sec's it's the same thing they use to harden the new filling's in your teeth.

To anyone looking at Motor City or Missing Link just do it they both have the best resin kit's and parts I have ever used and they will chrome the plated parts that have to be plated top quality the body's look and feel like kit plastic very light no clean up as far as having to sand and cut to get things to fit it's to bad these guys could not pick up Modelhaus it would be a perfect model world.!!! and the big plus is both guy Jeff and Kevin are awesome to deal with. You can't go wrong with there items.

AMT '68 Road Runner/GTX--What Was the Story?
rickcaps55 replied to Snake45's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Hi please let us know if Kevin is going to do the grill I have 2 JoHan kits there Road runners but I want to convert one to a GTX. -
Hi I have been using (Little Moter Kar Co.) for the last ten years they do a great job and fast it's some were around $3.50 a bumper.
-
Hi thanks and again you did a awesome Job on that build I have two set's of the Chicago decals from the JoHan kits and I want to do a couple of cars from the mid 60's maybe a ford or chevy or dodge. One I thought about would be the 60 Ford I remember that year the City went from the old black cars with the red mars light to the first blue and white from Jan to June the new blue and whites had red mars lights and then in June to Oct they got them all changed over to the new blue lights it was wild seeing a bunch of them at a call and some had blue and others had red I remember my father saying is there now two deferent Dept's I was only 8 at the time. Also most people don't know that 90% of all the cars from 58 through 74 only had in line 6's. I'm sure your uncle was very happy with it I know I would have been.
-
Hi first that is a awesome build very nice. I'm 65 and have lived in Chicago all my life and I'm retired PD your right and wrong in 1970 Fords were used for police cars but that was the year the city started to change the look half the car's looked like your build the other half were the new all white with the big blue stripe down the side and those cars also had the new roof bar with the two mar's lights and the two center lights the front was blue the back was red and hooked to the brake's. Also the one's like you built that had the two lights in the rear window were only used on Lake shore drive and on the expressways only the city cars did not have the light's in the rear. I hope this helps there was a guy who had a site that had every picture of all the Chicago police cars from 1900 through 2007 but I have not been able to find that site anymore.
-
Wow ! looking good I love the color and your body work looks factory keep the picture's coming.
-
I will be very care full about ordering this one I love the 60 Ford and I have 2 of each of the last 3 release's I really do not think AMT or round-2 has made any new custom parts for this kit the kit first came as just stock then they had a custom kit witch only had the mag's and side pipes and some custom parts for the motor then it was released as both with all the same parts so until someone show's it open and layed out I will hold off.

Hi I hope this helps I to am a big Krylon fan I use it on a lot of plastic projects but I have found that when it comes to models it is not as good as if I used the Model Master or Tama brand for both the primer and finish coat. I have had this happen to a couple of my cars both Revel and AMT so I have stopped using it on my cars and stick to the model paint. Someone had told me that in some cases the Krylon is to strong of a base chemical for the light plastic used on models.
