Paasche AB turbine
Tommy Kortman replied to Tommy Kortman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Actually, they were the answers I was looking for. I really want something to do very tiny work. I would really like an Iwata Custom micron, but I simply could not pass this up. I also got an Omni 5000. Any word on those? Thanks for the help guys. -
This has always been one of my favorite race cars, and liveries. You did it proud. This is a very nice job BRAVO!!

Everybody and Anybody, I recently had the opertunity to p/up a Paasche AB turbine air brush real cheap. (The art store was closing) Has anyone on this board ever used one? Any opinions, tips, tricks or pitfalls? Thanks.

LMP1 and LMP2 prototype kits?
Tommy Kortman replied to FORDSVTPARTS's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Studio 27 also has a few things. I know they had the Porsche p2 car, and Ithink they just brought out the Aston Martin P1 cars in the Gulf livery. -
Airbrush cleaners

Jim, I curently use a Badger 150 and I also have a Sotar 20/20, Both work pretty good. And while you technique is critical, there is something to be said for the quality of the brush. I have been using these 2 brushes for awhile now, and thought they were great (they are good), but recently I had the opertunity to try one of the new Badger Renegade line. There is no comparison. I had been saving up for an Iwata, but after trying the Renegade series I will be buying one of them instead. They have 3 types. Top, side, and bottom feed. The trigger action is very smooth and consistant. Good spraying. -
The official race season kick off

I knew that LBP (Loranzo Bros) had no relationhip with TRG. I was just rooting on the Lizards. 2nd aint too bad. My only complaint about the whole thing was the non-coverage throughout the night. I mean couldn't Speed at least post some static cameras around the track and then stream the feed to the web? Speed did do one cool thing though. They had a live chat on their site. they would have different driver pop in and answer questions. TRG also had a live stream going. When I logged in Ted Ballou was on answering questions and hanging out. They would also give live updates which was cool because the Speed feed kept zotzing out. There seemed to be a lot more breakage this year compared to last. I too thought the Stevenson Camaros were BAAAD!!! I loved the sound. The TRG guys were complaining (mildly) that the Camaros shouldn't have been allowed because they are tube frame cars and the Porsches are not. They started calling them dump trucks. LOL!! -

The Brumos team was going to cut back to only one team this year. Brumos team associate didn't want to see those mechanics out of work (the 58 car) and so he leased a Riley chassis and dropped in the V-8. I believe he was getting tech help from Brumos as well. They will be running the full season. I hope to get to see them in NJ. I also understand that the Factory really wasn't thrilled with the development of the V-8 because it came from the Cayanne(sp?). I guess the factory doesn't consider it performance orientated enough. They said (TV broadcast)that a company out of Texas developed that engine. It was a great win. And i know you and Nick are not fans, but .... WAY TO GO TRG/LIZARDS! -
Haven't heard much from Andy lately. Heard the other day he might be in Fla. now. Anyway check out this link for more of Andy's jaw dropping work. Andy Mathews

It looks like I'll be rooting for Mercedes this year. I was always a Ferrari fan, but I guess i'm a bigger Schumi fan. Plus, I really dont like Alanso. I guess I'll still pull for Massa. I'd like to see him win early, and get that whole mess from last year behind him quickly. I cant wait to see the Silver Arrows run. Deutschland Uber Alles!!! -

Personally, I can't wait. I am clearing the decks for this weekend, and i hope to catch all 16 televised hours. I wish they'd bring back all 24 again. I stayed up and watched all of that. OK i saw 22 hours. Somewhere around 0300 I fell asleep for a couple of hours. But it was still a blast. GENTLEMEN...START YOUR ENIGNES!!!!!!!! -
Outstanding!!!

Looks good Chuck. I gotta ask though. I can see from you info that your way out in there in Mich. So where did the NJ Devil inspiration come from? The Pine Barrens Speed shop is a nice touch.

Very Nice!! I have always like the R34. You did a great job. -
Blake, First off, 1/35 weapons will be way too small for 1/24-25. And you will notice the difference. I would suggest you check out Scale Equipment Ltd. or PSF Hobbies. Both of these places sell sets of 1/24-25 resin weapons. The PSF set i have includes pistols, shot guns, and rifles. If you are looking for heavier firepower, then your probably looking at scratch-building. At one time I built Ted Nugent's Bronco "Gonzo". I used a PSF set of weapons. I also scratch-built a compound bow. (I really wish i had some pictures of it now) As a long shot, check out some of the resin figure manufacturers. 76mm figures are the same size as 1/24-25 and they will also sometimes have weapon sets available.
