HELP ME!!! I'm out of control! I blame Bill Geary and Art Anderson for this No wonder after more than 2 months of work there is not a single drop of paint yet on it...... What do you think? Thanks,
-
Bill, My house and my BBQ grills (plural) are always open for you..... Just let me know the flight number Regards,

Hello, I'm not posting as frequently as I used to but here is some older progress. The bumpers are different between '32 and '33. The kit is a '32 and I need to make '33. I will attempt to do them in brass but in the meantime, since this project needs to be ready for an upcoming show, I did these for now. The kit's bumpers are for a '32 Rusty Trusty roams with impunity Getting there. Still not quite there yet but you get the idea.... This is just in case I don't finish the brass ones in time. Thanks,
-
SHAME ON YOU!! You should have at least 10 in a row.....

2nd Invitational BBQ Model Car Fest
ismaelg replied to simonr's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
We had a good time today. We did this last year in my house and again today at Simon's. The idea is simple: Meet at somebody's house with models and get BBQ food for it We had Mike, Ruben, Ferdinand, Alex, Christian, Simon and me. Simon will post more pictures later but I want to share these. Here is a link to the Fotki album: http://public.fotki.com/tatocorvette/scale...-casa-de-simon/ Here is a sample: This is Simon's 1/43 scale 962 Porsche Thanks, -
Here is the story and the original picture: I took this picture when my GTP was about 95% completed. I take pictures and look at them carefully for any flaws I may have missed. At the same time I was doing some photoshop rework on other pictures and took this one and deleted the background. When I saw it I thought on this section so I eventually sent it to Harry. After the picture was taken the radiator shields were added and the panel lines darken. Regards,

Howdy and Something you have not seen before.

That's totally wicked! Enough of the Corvette lines to be subtle yet noticeable, but totally different at the same time. Love the layout as well. Exquisite and inspiring! By the way, Welcome to the forum Regards, -
Hi, Haven't been on this thread for a while. That is the rear engine XP-819 Corvette prototype by Frank Winchell's team. Larry Shinoda designed the body. Thanks,
-
Cool! Great job on an unusual car!
-
Great job Chris! A beautiful car in a gorgeous color! Love it! Thanks,

Hello, This is most likely the last update for a while. No car of mine will have such a gap in the firewall Started the electrical wiring. I also added aluminum sleeves for eventually mounting the radiator support rods. Thanks,
-
Hawk, Welcome to the forum! But please refrain from posting pictures of real cars Just kidding. Those are AWESOME! Especially the black '67 with the red stinger. The Camaro is also incredible and so are the others. Geat job! Regards,

Hello, The words "AMT" and "precision fit" are not usually used together. The Rumble seat works but it is quite lousy. So I made it fit tighter by extending the "sheet metal" and made it open and close better. I also made some snapping tabs so the seat can be installed after painting and assembly. The best way to show it is with a video: here is a picture but the video is much better. Thanks,
-
Nice! I always liked that car but I don't recall ever seeing a nicely built one. Great job!

Just got back from a week out of town and getting up to speed on the forum. What color will this car be? Nice going. Those wheels look good. Nice engine. Just a suggestion: If you have some dullcoat, you can use it to tone down the shine on the floor. Thanks!

Larry, I got a reply from him after a long time saying it's out of biz..... Regards,

Hello, The original idea was box stock... HA! Then I thought of doing it curbside with the hood shut. But then.... I thought of doing the side in brass: but since it is quite flat and has many cuts and openings, I went with styrene. Because of time considerations, I'll only do one side to open. Thanks,

Hello, One of our international business partners is also a huge racing fan, especially F1. He is an important figure in his country's auto club. They usually go to a few F1 races a year and he has many good contacts in F1. He has always invited me to go to F1 races but that is quite expensive. Last time we met he said he would get me "something". Well, he just sent me "something": A Genuine Ferrari hat signed by driver Kimi Raikkonen during the canadian GP!!!! He then called me and said "Enjoy! I know you want Schumacher's, and I'm working on that" Is that cool or what? Thanks,

If you could only choose ONE photo of any of your builds, wich would it be?
ismaelg replied to JAFFA's topic in Model Cars
I CAN'T! That's like choosing between your kids. I'm into photography as well, and the 2 hobbies are perfect for each other. So I picked about 10 and randomly picked 1: Thanks, -
Na NA NAAAAA NAaa naaaa! I had this project in my hands today. It's going really well and it will be really sweet when finished. In our busy corporate lives, we met for a quick lunch and model talk, but I don't remember what we ate if we did at all Here were these 2 rather serious looking guys in business/professional attire, playing with a toy car in the food court!

Hello, Now, why on earth does this kit has an incomplete shorter floor? Good question.... Who knows... but it was extended. Thanks,
-
Hello, Box stock. Yeah right.... :D Made the gaps tighter as well. Thanks,
-
Nice job Lyle! But I'm not into rods. REPLICA STOCK is the farthest I'll go from FACTORY STOCK Thanks,
-
Precioso! I hope mine comes out half as good as yours.... Thanks,
