  9. 10 had a seem along the bumper line - probably riveted - should be able to glue top and bottom after marrying body to chassis … there will be larger fish to fry … would love to open a door - but i dont see the A pillars or the rest of the body surviving - note that A4 chose to open the doors on a Heller Jag XKE - rather than the Revell - think there’s a reason …
  10. They let me out of the basement - Ill drive a case of primer to toronto - how much will you pay ? ? Still dont know about this engine …. It does have a solid mount to the chassis ….
  11. Initial coat of rattle can Tamiya primer - this looks so much better in gray - sprayed outside on sister in law’s back deck - in 43 degrees - Spray can directions suggest not to use below 50 degrees - but i got a nice finish despite use in 43 degrees …

It does all go together - i think Revell prioritized getting the correct stance once everything is together - the half axles look too slender but upon revu of chass photos - I think they are correct - cutting everything apart to replace the discs and brakes will risk a correct final assembly - but i’m going to try -
  13. BTW - the back plate for the box is rendered and pictured here - but not called out in the instruction book …
  14. The independent rear suspension is rendered with a top and bottom - not good - the brake discs should be one peice - Revell ? - and they are too small anyway …. I prefer the Heller rear susp …

Thanks all - having finished my brief visit in Vir - i’ll post the progress - left some tools and paint there for my next visit - i’ll finish the Jag in Fl - after i make another trip to Rev’s and do some more research - example - 10 must have a D spec sump - but i just dont have a picture to verify -

The engine bay on the 10 Cunningham car was actually more D Type than E Type - Cunningham ran the D type engines in his earlier LeMans entries - so he was familiar with them - you can see here the D type exhausts and oil tank - and the fuel injection is the same set up that he had in his long nose D Type in ‘57 and ‘58 -
