  1. Hi all, I was looking at the Model Roundup website and noticed a 1976 Chevy sport 4x4 pickup. I wanted to know if this is a new tool, a modified re-issue or a straight re-issue? I do not recall seeing this around before. I remember Revell had a short bed chevy pickup in the Hot Rod series, is this that kit or maybe the original issue? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

  14. I would have to go with 61, the year I was born, love the GM bubble tops, the Olds and Caddy are among my fovorite cars. 61 Ford Starliners and uni-body pickups are very cool. The mopars are very unique that year and I like them!
  15. Looks really nice! I haven’t seen many of these built how did the kit go together?

  17. The way you did your roof is a much better option than how I did mine. I like the way you kept the original A pillars and side window shape. The body I started with had the roof crushed which is why I thought I would practice on it, so I swapped the whole Monte Carlo roof on the Johan body. I think yours is a much better way to handle the conversion! I really would like to see this finished!

  19. Looks great! Really looks good in white!
  20. Something else you can try is a Helicoil insert, these are made to repaire stripped out threads. They come in various diameters and lengths, they are made from stainless steel. If a 10-24 bolt is what you would use to wrap wire around then that wouls be the size you would use. They are generally "tight" together but you can open them up for more space between coils. The price varies by size but they are not horribly expensive, one down side is the coils are not round but tapered, they still look good on a built model. Just another option to consider.
  21. Just traded with SCRWDRVR (Brian). Great trade and would deal with anytime!
  22. Thanks for the pictures! This is the area (above on the yellow car) where it doesnt look right on my model. My roof is a bit wide at the base and I dont think I can correct it easily. I was going to try and file this shape along the bottom of the vynyl roof and the crease at the top of the rear quarter panel but I dont know if it will work.
  23. That looks really good! The slope of your side windows looks much better than mine, I see what you mean on the rear window area and if you could post pictures of your Cutlass Supreme that would be great!Did you scratch build the bumpers? They look really good!
  24. I did some more work on the roof, what do you guys think? It’s still very rough but coming along. I think I need a edge/crease at the top of the quarter panels where the roof flows into the trunk but not sure of a good way to do that. Any suggestions?
