  1. Thanks for the Memories.......
  2. Hardness...medium will work for models. I suspect the new Matrix eliminates the need for reducer...a quick way for lower VOCs...A 2-1-1 is 2 parts Clear ,1 part activator, 1 part reducer. Looking at a msds sheet from Valspar they switch the mixture but leave the mix at 2-1-1..But with the ever present CARB and Ca clean air VOCs will soon be gone...along with hard paint..... http://www.autopaintdirect.com/data/AC4400.pdf
  3. I like those wheels......Early donk Black Spokes, Low Profile rubber.....look like 20"s...........
  4. Odds are good you've rolled over a couple doing that...I have . So I switched to a swivel chair.. ..I rotate to one side, stand up slowly, then look behind the casters on the chair (bring your bench light down with you!!) I will then get the dustbuster...tape a single ply over the nozzel....it usually will get found...unless its in my clothing....
  5. Ross Gibson makes both an injected SBC and a BBC with that setup. The BBC does come with aluminum stacks, while the SBC has resin stacks...great detail on both.Ross also uses the same injector setup on a Hemi....
  6. Working at a bench for years guarantees parts droppage. I learned to listen where it went...yes it can bounce, but a hardwood floor has benefits.Tune in to the sound it makes....I find them between cardboard boxes under my bench...above the floor. Just another skill to learn!! And if never found...are you sure it was even there??
  7. Shaker or trembler switch..senses the vibrations....normally won't shut off when vibration stops...it could be wired to though. We used to set off car alarms with our straight pipes on the hogs....2nd gear almost always worked...
  8. Looks better with one wash....still thinks it will need a grey wash once the wood is done...
  9. Well if you check the business pages...RC 2 was sold to a Japanese group as of May 2, 2011 http://www.rc2corp.com/ http://www.takaratom.../i110502_en.pdf Round 2 Models do not seem fazed by that as Auto World lists that as available..... http://round2models.com/models/polar-lights/starship-enterprise http://autoworldstor...ncc-1701-a.aspx SO I have no Idea.....

  11. Got the side roof started today...Needs a bit of rust and crud...So I thought of the DR........ Started with some red oxide primer, then some salt and baking powder, let it dry and then I sprayed some alum metalizer on it, and let dry overnight...I did rough up some parts of it and a couple of creases for character...This morning I used a stiff brush to remove some texture, showing the "rust" under. Then a shot of dullkote and now a bit of weathering with some ink wash......
