  2. Aileens tacky glue also works....just wash with water and its gone...takes longer than tube cement to dry though

  7. you answered your own question...you sanded thru the flake..just shoot a light color coat, and a couple of coats of clear before sanding

Time for an update , and a tip of the hat to Dr Cranky ;) got the flattie all done couple of strombergs up top, a little flash, but stock .The frame was sandblasted, painted and the stock powertrain was re installed suspension has been lowered, and front stretched. late model 1 ton wheels and tires were installed . Wish I had more money then I could do the bodywork and paint, along with a comfy interior....oh well thats a Rodents luck
  10. cut springs, relocate the axle. Z the frame....all those will work...Now Alex..a little more info..what truck, what style..lowrider or hot rod??Heres a few that were lowered...all different ways!

  12. Tommy.....are these "Kustom Kolor" paints by valspar.....because if thats what the are....that reducer will not work with them. Those non HOK paints are made in the same colors as HOK, and Valspar made those for wally world, then ww got out of plastic a few years ago, hence those paints are out there cheap....look carefully :huh:

  15. Gotta try them....may need a drop or two of thinner...I just found some floquil paints....15 years old....I did store them upside down, a couple of drops of Dio Sol...good as new. That said....switch to lacquers.....You will be happier

  23. Yep...Its the only way I do it now. This was asked a while back and I read a number of responses stating that is the best way to make sure the foil stays on and the glass sticks to the A pillars. As for scratching, I find it no issue...I hold a taped #11 blade and can slide the tip between the glass and back edge of the body...I do not push the blade, the blade cuts the foil when using a new blade....
