Ran into a minor problem.....I cannot get any naughahide as they are federally protected now
Came up with some old skins I found out back...........And Jairus never gave any colors on this kit........
Either will work......The goal is 105 degrees F If it has a fan it has to be temp adjustable. If it is convection a dimmer switch wired in will allow you to dial the correct temp in. The fan types do not work well with the dimmer setup as the fan now runs slower.....The key is to adj the temp between 100 and 110 F
Heh Rob.....I think you've done very good with Virgils salt tech...I think the avacado is the perfect color for this era. IMHO..try a little misting of an acrylic rust way reduced..so you hit the whole car and then a light rub with steel wool and I think it would explode!
and look at his tissue paper tut HERE...I think the seats and headliner might work for this one...
Thanks Jim....The paint does "glow"...Thats Tangelo Pearl from HOK..Has a soft yellow glow in the lights.....Check my photobucket for the 69 Camaro !!
When I shot the 3 coats of color and clear that makes that pop just a bit more...I cannot wait to polish this one out!!!
Lotsa work getting done...thought I should update this. The color has been on and curing for a bit now. Hit it with 3 coats of Tangelo mixed into 75% SG100 intercoat clear...this gives the pearl more depth. Then it was on to the clear 6 coats of clear and now its baking at 105 for 4 hours.
So got the interior started with some TS6 and will get texture, gloss and some upholstery soon. Here is a picture of the dash...was perfect till I moved the lens when I was futuring it .....(don't tell )
To start out get the "odds and ends" assortments....all sorts of goodies, get the round one also!!
I also recomend Tenax cement.....
