  1. Can we all just end this? LOL!
  2. You should look in FSM website...*cough, cough* One little offensive thread there until their mods shut it down. Ask me how I know. ? Yup. I had it out with one of the mods, they ended up moderating my posts until I finally told them to ban me. LOL!! Ah well.... life goes on.?
  3. All imports. I'm talking about American cars. Tri Fives, Mopars, Fords, Buicks. etc...
  4. I would think by now we've given PlumCrazy's our responses, opinions, and has not responded as of late. We've all built AMT kits as well as others - warts and all. It takes a bit of problem solving and creative work to make ANY kit work to be a gorgeous build. Heading into 6 pages is not going to change his mind or opinions on AMT kits.
  5. True... aside from aircrafts and armor, all they do are Japanese imports, racers and motorcycles. Zero classic automobiles. Just saying... Not to mention their decals are notorious of being too thick and don't lay down well even when using decal setting solutions.
  6. She’s quite a looker. I really need to get a 1960 Starliner kit in my stash.
  7. Photography presentation and background is fabulous. I almost believed those were the real 1:1automobiles in your garage. Well done!
  8. Thank you. I stripped the paint twice and was getting annoyed getting it done. The more I looked at it, the more I’ve grown fond of it. I do want to get another. The ‘55 is my favorite as well. I absolutely love the desert rose and white scheme.
  9. That is the most intelligent answer ever. Why didn’t I think of that response earlier? LOL!
  10. Yup... The P-61 Black Widow is the same exact kit as the Monogram kit when Revell took over Monogram molds. I had a chance to open the box to 'fondle the sprues". LOL! Oh yeah, they look exactly as Monogram molds.
  11. My son did good giving me these. I've done both those kits in my teen years.
  12. StevenG... Oh man, that '57 Chevy is stunning!
  13. Or check out scalemates.com...
  14. Now I’ll know which kit to look for. Gotta love those 2 n 1 or 3 n 1 kits. They give you so many options to build it.
  15. That is a very nice build. I’ve been wanting to get the Starliner kit for ages.
  16. For those who already made note hate AMT kits, look at some of the WIP threads and Finished kits threads. You will find numerous that are AMT kits. They all come out pretty darn good - warts and all, if you work at it. A fair majority of my auto kits are AMT kits.
  17. I bought 3 AMT kits at Ollie’s a month or so ago. They were reissued kits mind you. What kit did you get? I’ll take them off your hands. LOL!
  18. Wow...
  19. Wow... incredible work. How'd I miss those. Love the Fairlane!!
  20. This is sound advice. Better yet, support your local hobby shop if you have one in your area. If not, there's planty of online hobby stores that provide you far better prices and service. Even eBay is another great source for hobby kits.
  21. I used to love building the Revell Nomad kits. With the molds older, the hinged versions never seem to line up correctly when installing the doors. Now if they made newer molds, I’d do it. Nowadays most of the Nomad kits are hinged doors versions. Unless there is one that isn’t I’m not aware of. I do like the flames on that kit though. I’ll skip the “surfer hood ornament” ?
  22. As I mentioned before, I love a challenge on a sucky kit. But boy, oh boy, I’ve had a few that has fought me from step 1 all the way to the final step. And I’ve won many battles on those too. However, I’ve had a couple that fought me into submission that I had to accept defeat. There was no way I could get it to work right no matter how hard I tried. In the bin it went except for the useful spare parts I can always use for another day. (That’s how parts bin stash gets built up? you never know when you’ll need it) I guess it takes a bit of experience in how well you can tackle a difficult kit. You can put it away for now and try something else. Who knows, maybe down the road you may bring it out again and try have another go at it. Never say never. A challenge on a difficult kit is not a bad thing.
  23. LOL! Thank you. The flip nose Vette fought me all the way. The ‘61 got on my nerves but will definitely do another. Oh the bare metal foil work on the ‘61 was the most challenging for me.
