Do you also have 1:1 project cars?
bobss396 replied to ctruss53's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Belair had a pull to the left. I adjusted the caster on the driver side via the strut rod. Now it goes straight. Photo is by the Fire Island lighthouse, 10 miles from home. -
Do you also have 1:1 project cars?

Spent the last few days putting all new springs in the Belair at a friend's shop. The caveat was that it had to be done and out by Monday morning. We finished at noon on Sunday. The rears we did on Friday after hours. My brother showed up and ran with it.. he was a huge help. Saturday we tackled the fronts. Despite having the lift, spring compressors and every tool under the sun, we got ONE side done in 4.5 hours. And it sat a mile high.. I made the decision to take it out and lop 2 coils out of it. Much better! Sunday, the 2nd one took 2 hours flat. To get the strut rod nuts loose, this required the blue wrench. I have a bad cut on one finger, a large bruise on my chest, no hair on one hand and a few scrapes on my head. But it rides much better. Threw some front end parts into it plus new shocks. I'll have the use of a rack soon so I can align it. -
I worked with a guy who was having chest pains at work, 2 years before my HA. He refused and offers to go to the ER and went home. His wife came home and wanted to take him to the ER. He said he would go to the family doctor in the morning. Well... he never made it to the next day. This is probably part of what saved me. Almost 8 years ago to this day.

1:24/25 Hood pins source?

Lately I have been using the Pro Tech ones. I like the DM ones but they are a lot of work. -
I was a hot mess in comparison to those who go into surgery like civilized folk. I drove myself to the ER, the hospital was 4 miles down the causeway by my house. I got a rock star parking spot, made 2 calls to people on the way into the ER. Once in triage, the last thing I remember was having my BP checked.

I have a couple of Mack brushes that pretty nice. My brother had a neighbor whose late husband worked in a place that sold brushes. She gave us a bunch of them. They were all sabels.

What Did You See In Your Yard Today?
bobss396 replied to Tim W. SoCal's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I was in the pool yesterday skimming off acorns and leaves. I rescued a bumble bee that was not doing well. The bee crawled up my hand and sat on my wrist until I was done. I let it go near a flower bed. -
Good luck. I had a triple done in 2016 and I was the guy who coded in the ER. I was kept in a coma for almost 5 days. So my recovery was tougher than most. I was out of work for 3 months, I should have stayed out. SSDI pays more than SS. I was only 61 at the time. I had people around to help. I had 12 sessions of home PT and a nurse that came by once a week. The cats stayed close to me.

I haven't seen the woodpecker lately, the male shows up now and then. I have 2 female cardinals. 1 must be a juvenile. They were here for breakfast. Another one that also was in attendance was a catbird. They are interesting birds, in the mimid class. They are fairly friendly and will sit on the fence jawing at me. -
2 of Ivan. The one on the floor he was about 6 months old. The other, he likes to sit on the stairs so he can see everything.

I had no less than a dozen black birds on my deck rail earlier. Usually I see a few only. Other mornings I have had a similar number of Mourning Doves. -

Nice work. I have one started. Going for a phantom Harry Gant ride. I was not able to drop the rear as low as i wanted and used a NASCAR donor chassis under it. -
