Thanks very much guys. Some more work done. The first shot is with the chassis, floor pan added to the mix. The bed isn't going to work unmodified. So I got cutting. Next job is adding material so that the fender sides meet the bed sides as well as getting the back of the cab to get smoothed into the cab. More soon.
The Phantom was a fella who wore purple in the jungle on a white horse.
I think perhaps the Shadow or Will Eisners the Spirit would be a better fit for this one.
Well, first off, a PM to Harry or Gregg would be your best bet. Here's two rules form the rules section that might apply. I see nothing there that says you cannot show what you have, and post a link for for folks to follow to get more info.
Here's my new project. I'm going to cut away the rear of the Olds at the paint line. Close in the body like a pickup. Remove the rear Olds fenders and build them up so that they can be used on the bed. Slam it to the ground and use a blown Pontiac. I'm hoping to NOT have to alter the wheelbase, we'll have to wait and see. It will be custom, but with a ratty vibe. No colors planned yet. I may just go with red oxide primer or flat black.
I took this with my phone. Samsung Galaxy S5. It's about a year and a half old. Most modern phones have very good cameras now. Most have an auto focus that is good enough that macro is no longer required. For stability just set it on a book or something and snap away. Get some decent lighting though.
My plans are to finish my Allison powered Charger.
My Corvette whatcha-ma-callit track car that I have dubbed "Skinnie Minnie"
and my Cannonballer for this year.
A couple of box stock type builds are not out of the question either. I just got these two in primer.
My only issue with materials like tile or laminates is that parts tend to bounce well. So the part may not even be close to the area where you dropped it. The best surface I had for building was a very dense low nap carpet.
