  1. I approve sir.
  2. Recommend you contact Revell. They will often donate kits for this sort of thing.
  3. Then I guess we're gonna see an awful lot of resto-mods.
  4. I love this. It's so .............................................. I guess "far out" is the best description for this one. Great originality and humor. The see/hear/say no evil monkeys are a hoot. Great work.
  5. I'm sure George Trosley would approve. I sure do. I'd like to build a couple of those. Especially that challenger. It's plastic man.
  6. I like this. Maybe fill in the VW headlight openings and utilize the ports in the Viper nose?
  7. I'm sure with the talented and knowledgeable folks here we can find some 50's chassis and engine that will get us in the ballpark.
  8. As much as I do appreciate their music, at 46 I'm a little young to have the emotional connection to those men and their music, that my dad does. Dad was and is, a huge Buddy fan. He's got at least 5 CD's in his disc carousel. At 71 years old he still gets a little misty eyed when we talk about it. Mom prefers Elvis.
  9. And where are you gonna find one of those these days?
  10. Wow. Most impressive work.
  11. I think you've a rock solid start. Keep it going. I agree with the other guys. Finish this model no matter what, and always keep it as a gauge on how far you've come. I have one from my early days and as bad as it is, it's one of my favorites.
  12. I agree but you have to understand the emotions at the time. I mean they were RIGHT THERE!. And then it was gone. Heartbreaking stuff. It's hard to be cool and professional in the heat of the moment.
  13. Well this is a thread that I will bookmark and return to. I've this kit in my stash with plans to build some sort of super spy/ hero car from it. Great stuff so far. Looking good.
  14. Top marks Niko. I enjoyed watching this come together. Well done.
  15. I love a happy ending.
  16. Well of course it is! A what?
  17. I got this little gizmo from Micromark.
  18. That would be a GTO I'm thinkin.
  19. Test technician for Honeywell Aerospace, working on our future space program.
  20. As one of my local club members found out. He had glued two parts not realizing that the CA glue had run between two fingers. Applied the kicker ........................................ and the screaming began.
  21. Was is Ponch's ride in CHiPs? EDIT- yeah it was. Same car. Firebird scoops plus the shaker.
  22. Well the project lead loved my resume', so I'm headed out west on 2/16. Oh well. It's great for my career, but all my obligations at home are on hold. On the subject of paint here's the paint chart for the AMC '77 model year. From my stash of Testors/MM lacquers and Duplicolor, I can easily do the Golden Ginger, Brandywine and Midnight Blue metallics. I'm leaning heavily toward the Brandywine.
  23. I laid open the pad of my left thumb from stem to stern in my late teens. I'm 46 now with only nicks since then, so I'm doing something right I guess.
  24. Bill Nye to back up Erik's explanation. http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2015-01-27/patriots-deflategate-deflate-gate-footballs-underinflated-bill-nye-science-guy-super-bowl-49-2015-xlix
  25. It's in Redmond. Today is the final meeting to decide if I'm the guy for the job. I've never wanted to the "not the guy for the job" in my life, but this comes pretty close. Too many things going on at home.
