  1. My youngest son is a big fan of the Star Wars movies, so this is what I built for him this year for Christmas. It's the Star Wars Trade Federation Tank. At 14" wide and 10" deep, this thing is pretty big, so I may have to keep it in my model room until he has a place with enough room to display it. This scene is loosely based on the part in the movie where the tank is hit and starts spiraling down into the ground. Merry Christmas, guys!!
  2. My friend, Arne Jerde, scupted this piece several years ago. It is called "Preda Claws" Since my oldest son is a big fan of the Predator movies, I decided to paint it and give it to him for Christmas this year. Isn't he cute!! Merry Christmas, guys!!
  3. See...even severly demented and twisted minds think alike!!
  4. Very cool, my friend!! The stance and rake are right on the money!! Another homerun!! I can't wait to see it in February!!
  5. 11 builds in one year!! Wow!! That knocks the ###### out of my 3!! This is my favorite of yours for the year: Keep up the GREAT work, my friend!!
  6. Peter, I remember saying that I wanted one back when you first offered them, but as far as I know, you never sent one to me. I've seen Curt's build...it's awesome!! If you have extras, I'm still interested in buying one, but please don't go out of your way to send it in any great hurry. While my good friend Curt can pop out a build about every 11 days, (he has elves helping him...I've seen them), I only seem to be able to pop one out about every eleven months Honestly, I really don't know how he gets enough time to build as much as he does... Later,
  7. That is just too cool!! The smile is GREAT!! Later,
  8. I think that I'll just start sending my stuff to you to build... You build more, nice models in one month than I do all year!! See you soon, my old friend,
  9. These guys said it best!! Thanks for sharing,
  10. I can send a spare body and the headlight lenses, if that's what you want to do. I bought several of the kits for the chassis, so I have at least one spare body. Later,
  11. Here are the links to the Wagon Rod I finished this year: On the Workbench: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28488 Under Glass: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34926 If you're not going to alter the location of the headlights, you might consider lowering the nose of the hood just a little. Since it looks like you've glued the hood sides to the top, it would be pretty easy to do. I'll be watching yours to see how it comes out!! Later,
  12. Good thing this is a roadster because there's no room for an AC unit under the hood!! In all seriousness, (or at least as much as I can muster...), the rake and stance are awesome!! Careful going over the speed bumps!! I'm really glad to see that you went with a dual-rod design for the radiator. As you know, I really DO NOT like the single rod design from the kit. Keep up the GREAT work!! Later,
  13. Very sleek!! Awesome paint work!! Thanks for sharing,

  21. Awesome work, as usual, Virgil!! Thanks for the tips!! Now that winter is coming, I may get back to building a few weathered projects...but then in sunny CA, you can spray Testors lacquer almost any day and get a great shine!! Later,
  22. Looking good, Virgil!! I really like the gas tank and the missing trim on the passenger-side door!! Later,
