  1. Had a bit of a spending spree while I was in Hong Kong, there's 8 hobby stores in the Kowloon area alone.
  2. First day back from Hong Kong, and the spending on model stuff doesn't stop, I've just ordered a couple from Wonderland models, looking forward to building one of these.
  3. Very nice clean build, so pleased you didn't weather it.
  4. Superb build, as you say a very well engineered kit, I built one last year and thoroughly enjoyed the build.
  5. Seems Revell is on a German classic tractor theme, there's so many other German tractors they could release without looking at other countries, including a few from the former East Germany.
  6. Andy closed down his website earlier this year,he does sell on eBay though, I've got his email if you'd like to get in touch with him, Ian is a good friend of mine, I bought his Morris Minor kit at the beginning of the year, it's the best one out there, can't wait for the MK1 Cortina to be released, I did a product review of the Minor for Scale Modelling Now magazine, which you can read here https://www.scalemodellingnow.com/hnvehicles-motor-museum-in-miniature-1956-1962-morris-minor

    68 chevelle SS

Turned out real nice, I really need to get back to mine as soon as I can...
  8. Very nice builds, I've got both the Deutz and Porsche tractors to build, I'll be starting the Porsche when I get back from Hong Kong at the end of the month.
  9. No, they should be the other way around.....
  10. Absolutely superb build, your a very talented artist, I've been to Turkey a few times and never seem a hobby shop.
  11. No, it was a new kit by Revell originally released in 2012, the Rally version was released 2 years later, I've built many of the Tamiya versions, and one of the Revell Coopers, the Revell is a much better kit to put together.
  12. Superb build, I really need to pick one of mine out of the stash....
  13. Thank you David, this is exactly why i didn't clearcoat it and buff it to a mirror shine, I was after an original factory finish and not an over restored vehicle.
  14. A few more from Best Model Car Parts, they haven't got a website atm, but easy to purchase through Ebay
  15. I'm still surprised that amt don't supply decals for the dashboard clocks, Thankfully there's a solution out there, had them delivered this morning.
  16. Exhaust and rear axle fitted, masked up the front seat bench, hopefully I'll get a little time I'm the week to sit at the building bench
  17. Coming along very nicely, I'm betting you'll finish before i get mine done.....
  18. The body needs to flex when you put it on to the chassis, I did tape them in place while doing a dry fit, I didn't want the join to crack, so following the instructions, they'll be going on after the body has been fixed on to the chassis.
  19. I need to find time to get back on this one, apart from painting the inner roof lining and the panel under the front windscreen, it's been sitting in the hobby room untouched
  20. Floorpan painted and fixed to the chassis, masking started on the door panels, still a lot of airbrushing to do on this one
  21. I really wouldn't worry about the colour of the tyres, black tyres were available earlier than you think, as early as 1900 when Goodrich were adding Carbon black to the natural white rubber, firstly on the tread only, then on the complete tyre.
  22. Cut around the metal transfer you need to use, peel off the backing paper, leaving the transfer on the clear carrier film, place where it's got to be applied, burnish down with a burnishing tool or similar, and then peel off the clear carrier film, the chrome transfer will stay in place.
  23. I really don't do much brush painting, but I really didn't see an easy option of masking it up leaving the spare wheel well in body colour, so some Tamiya XF-85,Rubber black and a brush it was, doesn't look too bad....
  24. I've seen this on a YouTube video, you can either go off in a group or for a little more Euros you can go off on your own with a map, it's on my to-do list
