  1. Couldn't put it off any longer, so I've just ordered one of these.
  2. It's being modelled on an early 1970 109" station wagon, I've seen a few photos of the 3D model there working on, I'm not sure if it's going to have an engine, but it's being classed as a level 3 model, the Citroen 2cv has the same level and does indeed has an engine, the V8 didn't come out until 1979 and the front panel was totally different to the regular Series 3,plus permanent 4x4 as it used the gearbox from the Range rover.
  3. What are you doing wrong ?? Leaving the airbrush for 5-10 minutes, as the paint is going to dry on the tip, best to do your airbrushing, empty the colour cup, and put the needle and tip in some thinners if you're going to come back to more airbrushing later on, once finished for the day, make sure you give the airbrush a good clean.
  4. Dot 3,4 & 5.1 are all Glycol based, Dot 5 is Silicon based.
  5. Pretty easy one for me, as I grew up in Spain, finally had to move to England in 1976....
  6. After 3 weeks of not having any time to get into the hobby room, I finally had a day free yesterday,so the airbrush came out and I've finally got all the parts, apart from the bodyshell and bonnet in primer and sorted into groups so they can be painted in the final colours, I'm going to get a little more done over the weekend,as the next few weeks I'm going to be way too busy with work to even think of getting any modelling done, I'm still catching up with my photography work after taking a month off after suffering a mild heart attack at the beginning of April.
  7. Very nice build....
  8. What he said....
  9. It's not available just yet, but should be ready later in the year, I'll have a word with Ian at MMiM later today to see if there's any progress on the kit, I've seen the bodyshell, and it really does look good, the Morris Minor kit was £80, I suspect the Cortina kit will be around the same price, they were limited to only 100 units.
  10. That's a Transkit, you need the Esci\Revell Escort kit to build it, the Motor museum in miniature will be a complete Resin kit in 1:24th scale, and will cost less than the Airtrax kit, even without the cost of buying the Escort kit to finish it off.
  11. http://www.themotormuseuminminiature.co.uk/our-products.php they released the Morris Minor at the Beginning of the year, there next resin kit will be a Mk1 Lotus Cortina, if you want to see the quality of their casting, see the review i wrote for Scale Modelling Now magazine, https://www.scalemodellingnow.com/hnvehicles-motor-museum-in-miniature-1956-1962-morris-minor
  12. Looking good...
  13. Yes it does, although they've also included the incorrect bonnet stripes, the box art is totally incorrect.
  14. Yes, it's only just hit the shelves in Europe, I'm building one for a magazine, Revell supplied the kit, so far the quality is superb.
  15. Superb build, you haven't list your talent....
  16. Trust Revell Germany to get the box art incorrect, it will have the stripes along the side, but not the racing stripes on the bonnet (Sorry, Hood), as per the photo of the 1:1 i posted up.
  17. I haven't decided yet, but I'm thinking the Rallye wheels would look good on it,luckily you get a choice of wheels in the kit.
  18. Rear axle made up, using the chassis fixing points as a jig, removed once the cement had dried up, bonnet hinges fitted.
  19. Tamiya did release the stock version many years ago
  20. i've ordered the correct factory colour of Grecian Green from MCW Lacquer, hopefully the garage will be tidied and the spray booth installed out there by the time the paint arrives,
  21. Interior dry fitted together, again, everything fitted together without any problems,
  22. Chassis crossmember fitted, and engine dry fitted into chassis, the chassis was dry fitted onto the floorpan, so far everything is going together very well,
  23. Engine halves glued together, oil sump and intake manifold fitted, once the glue dries up the seams will be removed, primed and painted Chevrolet engine red
