i bought a 2mm one a few weeks ago, absolutely brilliant, I've used it on the Porsche 356 I'm working on ....

BMF finished around the quarter vents and chrome on bumpers dried out very nice

These, I used the black on on the engine, I also use for the panel lines around the doors, etc, I don't use the brush supplied in the cap, I used a 10/0 artists brush

Interior panels were first airbrushed in body colour then masked up and airbrushed satin black to replicate the door cards and the seat belts, bmf was used for the seat belt buckles and the door pull Interior coming together, flocking was used to replicate the black carpets Dashboard finished, it was first airbrushed satin black, then masked up to paint the padded parts and the centre plastic section coal black, the switches were picked u=out using a fine brush Interior fitted onto floorpan The chrome plating on the bumpers was very thin, much have been a faulty batch, as the chrome on the sedan I build last year was perfect, so they were stripped, and were airbrushed in a new chrome paint I bought at an IPMS show I went to in November, first they got a black basecoat and left to dry out, The wet sanding and polishing was next ....

While waiting for some 5 minute clear epoxy to arrive so I could crack on with the 48 Ford, I had this listed on eBay, which didn't sell, and as I already have two more of them in the stash, I couldn't be bothered to put it back on eBay, and instead of putting it back with the others, I decided to build it, luckily I already had some VW marine blue lacquer mixed up, so it went onto the bench. The wheels which are supplied on the chrome sprue along with the running boards were placed in a container of household bleach to strip off the chrome, the wheels will be airbrushed silver (Tamiya Silver Leaf) and the running boards will be done in satin black with the chrome trim picked out using bmf, bmf will also be used for the hubcaps, which are molded as part of the wheel, the photo's below are as the body came out the spray booth, no wet sanding or polishing, just yet ... Seats airbrushed in satin black acrylic Floorpan airbrushed in satin black acrylic Engine & gearbox airbrushed aluminium and the fins were given a black wash Wheels finished

Nearly got them for Christmas, but I've had to pay a customs charge this morning, so I won't get them until Wednesday, but there's two of these sitting at the local post office for me

You've bought the very same airbrushes i use, I've got many airbrushes, but these two, along with the Passche F1, are the one's i use all the time. Masking the interior takes time, but well worth it, get yourself some Tamiya masking tapes in 6 & 10mm, ha e a look at some of my builds on here and on my website, it should, hopefully give you a few tips on how to do the masking

Very clean build, that would put some adult modellers to shame .....

I'm still not sure why they didn't use the wheels from their '66 Beetle instead of using the one's from the '67 Beetle.
-
Very nice build, what wheels did you use ?

Finally got the chrome trim on the rear light housing done today, fitted the heater, batter and convertible top motor, also got the front windshield fitted, not the best fitting windshield I've ever fitted, but it's in, and not a glue or finger mark to be seen, mind you those little finger cots seem to help a lot, i also gave the body a quick wipe over with some Novus # 1

Great news Harry, I can't add much to what everyone has posted, but I'm sending prayers and my best wishes from across the pond, keep strong my friend ......
