Disappointed in my paint jobs I am frequently, so when one turns out better than expected…I am ecstatic.

Will dark green plastic bleed through?

What do you use for sealer? Is there one made specifically for styrene? I know the BIN Zinnser shellac based sealer works well, but cleanup (airbrush) can be a pain. Greg. -
The can says not to use it over decals. You may have gotten lucky? This is the UV Cut clear over enamel. 99% of it worked fine though.

Kids were the original market for model manufacturers I believe, and some of those kids are still at it 60-70 years later.

I’ll follow along to see what happens with this one Bob. I have a couple Nomads on the shelf so I can use the tips.?

I’ve never been a fan of ‘50s or early ‘60s mopars, but I gotta say this one is a beauty…in an almost sinister sorta way. Can’t wait to see what you do with it Jim!?

Thanks Everyone! It is actually one of my better looking models (topside anyways). And yes, there is very little room for wheel and tire swaps.

Beware the dangers of spraying lacquer over enamel.

According to the Mr.Hobby website, this stuff can be sprayed over decals, enamels and acrylics. There is also this stuff from Revell.

What is this little RHD thing?

It’s the crank handle for a tarp on a trailer in the lane between me and the Suzuki. -

Thanks everyone! I knew there’d be folks on here who would know.? Cool looking little car. -

If it’s the 1834 stuff it is gloss. I wrote a note on the lid of my can to remind myself not to use it over enamel. It likely reacted with your enamel and that’s why your finish is matte and bumpy.

The DM one looks pretty good. I don’t know if the scalemates one is still available? I don’t know what kits might have one. Sorry.?

Decades ago when I had my very first car, I would scrounge my tires from the local dump, and I would get flats so often that my buddy and I were like a pit crew when it happened.

Cool! They are great little cars.? Mine is a ‘13 GS that I bought new. I have just 47,601k on it now since I don’t drive it in the winters. The only things I have done are to replace the wiper stalk with an intermittent one, replace the tires with Pirelli P Zero 215/45’s, and last year I upgraded to the Moroso coolant tank. I took a new ND out for a drive last week and I still like mine better!? This is heading east out of Osoyoos BC.
